Event Attendees

Overall, we had 18 guests attend our Christmas in July Event. We had 27 RSVP, but not all
showed up. Despite people not showing up, those who did show up had a great time. We
received compliments on the food, drinks and the partnerships we made with Primetime Limos
and TapSnap gave the attendees fun activities to do. Primetime brought a fully stocked party
bus with fancy lights and a stocked bar within the limo. TapSnap brought a green screen with
props for guests to capture their moments with their friends. The guests we did bring in are
from well-known companies in our area, therefore we are happy with the attendance list.

Christmas in July Menu
My focus was the menu planning, while the other intern focused on the marketing of our event.
The menu below has menu choices that I planned with our executive chef to alter and pick the
best options. It was my main goal to choose menu items that are similar to food we already sell
because we do not have a pastry chef to create fancy desserts. I wanted the desserts to be
simple yet creative, and the drinks to remind everyone of Christmas. People who book holiday

Christmas in July Door Prizes

For our event, we wanted to offer door prizes as an incentive for guests to attend. Due to the
fact that it is an open house, our event was free of cost and guests would come out of it with a
site tour, samples of our holiday menu and a door prize. Below this page is the Sales Letter I
used to gain partnerships and ask for door prizes. Smokehouse Live is located in a shopping
center with other businesses and restaurants, so I walked around the center and handed out
sales letters. Some of the restaurants were not open to giving door prizes, however the dessert
and spas were open to it. Our partnerships with Primetime Limousines and TapSnap also
donated door prizes. One door prize was from a floral business who we connected with at a
networking event. The networking events and local businesses all came together to help our
event be a success.

Hey Y’all!

My name is Katie Gettler and I am a Sales and Event Intern at Smokehouse Live. We are planning a
Christmas in July Open House on Thursday, July 20th from 5:30-7pm. The purpose of our event is to get
local businesses and event planners to taste our food and see our venue in hopes that they will want to
book corporate holiday or large events with us. We have several corporate companies who have RSVP’d.

To support local businesses in our area, I am writing to see if you would be willing to donate a door prize
or coupon that we can offer to our guests at the event. This will be beneficial for both of us, as it will
bring more guests to our event and also bring you more business. Whether it be small or large, we
would appreciate anything you could offer. Feel free to come by the restaurant at any time or we could
set up a time to meet. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Katie Gettler
