Continue ° Fauquier County Sheriff's Office 4 Public + Alburn = NEWS RELEASE: Overnight the Sheriff's Office responded to a residence on Bear Bug Lane off of Elk Run Rd and encountered an armed individual on the property. The individual barricaded himself in the residence and refused to cooperate. The original call for service was a trespassing complaint between neighbors. Citizens in the area may have received an alert from the Sheriff's Office during this incident. This individual was eventually taken into custody this morning. There is still a large law enforcement presence on the scene. We will provide updates as available.
