CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN ASSIGNMENT 2

My philosophy of Classroom Management

After, reading about the classroom management approaches I found that I liked the authoritative

approach the best. I want to create an environment of individual responsibility from each student.

I want to give the students the ability to create and achieve their own goals in regards behavior,

academically and responsibility. I feel they need to be encouraged from a young age to set these

goals for themselves individually and how, to achieve them. The theorist I gravitate towards the

most is Piaget model of social-cognitive/ observational learning by watching others. I do feel that

children from a young age learn from their peer whether classmates, adults or older children. The

classroom rules would be created by the students and assignment rules would be given at the

beginning of instruction in regards the assignment being worked on.

In the aspect of discipline and management it all depends on the age and grade level, I

would be teaching. The punishments like stated on the video would be discussed with the class at

the beginning of the year. I would want the students to be involved in understanding the rules

and punishments. They should be aware of their own actions and the repercussions if the rules

stated are not followed. An example of simple discipline level would be first a verbal warning,

second time-out and third a letter sent home.

The positive reinforcement would be acknowledging their good behavior of following

the rules currently letting know I am always aware. I also like the approach on the videos of

having the different colors to help them manage and understand if they get to a certain color for

excellent behavior they will be rewarded. This gives them a direct incentive to always be aware

of their behavior.

Having a strong classroom management plan is vital. Let’s the students know what, are

the expectations and how, they will be affected if the rules are not followed. That’s why, it’s so

important that these rules, punishments and rewards need to be informed at the beginning of the

year. I feel that if they see other following and correcting their own behavior it will help

encourage others to remain in the path of good behavior. The students need to be constantly

aware of their actions and if needed one-on-one counsel would be provided by me to see if I can

get to the root of the problem before it gets worse or spreads. It is also important to be aware of

each student emotionally needs and possible difficult background. Talking to them individually

and being aware of their feelings and what, may be bothering them to help them overcome fears,

bullying or any negativity.

Classroom Layout

This image of a classroom layout would be the best in my opinion. I would be able to see

the whole class. This layout gives each student his or her own space without anything disrupting

their view of the teacher.

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN ASSIGNMENT 4

Classroom Basic Rules

These would be my classroom rules appropriate to most elementary school grades. Each

one of these would be studied and the students would do a worksheet explaining why, each one

of these rules is important to get further understanding.

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN ASSIGNMENT 5

Classroom Rewards and Consequences

Rewards will be given based on good behavior and following the rules of the classroom.

Consequences will be based on not following classroom rules and assignment rules given

during class. Bullying will not be tolerated!!

Add footnotes, if any, on their own page following references. The body of a footnote,

such as this example, uses the Normal text style. (Note: If you delete this sample footnote, don’t

forget to delete its in-text reference as well. That’s at the end of the sample Heading 2 paragraph

on the first page of body content in this template.)

Note: Place all tables for your paper in a tables section, following references (and, if applicable,

footnotes). Start a new page for each table, include a table number and table title for each, as

shown on this page. All explanatory text appears in a table note that follows the table, such as

this one. Use the Table/Figure style, available on the Home tab, in the Styles gallery, to get the

spacing between table and note. Tables in APA format can use single or 1.5-line spacing. Include

a heading for every row and column, even if the content seems obvious. A table style has been

setup for this template that fits APA guidelines. To insert a table, on the Insert tab, click Table.
