Diskripsi Mata Kuliah : The government of Indonesia has decided that English
is learned as a foreign language in Indonesia. This
policy is taken for a number of reasons, such as the
importance of English as a means of international
communication, and a means to learn the development
of knowledge, technology, and foreign cultures.
Language teachers need to know about the language
policy and planning made by the government of
Indonesia. Therefore, this course(Language Policy and
Planning) will equip language teacher education
students with knowledge about language policies and
planning made by the government of Indonesia from
the period of after the independence up to the present
time. Apart from that, language policy and planning
made by the government of other countries will also be
discussed in this course.

Pengetahuan :
1. Menguasai konsep linguistik (pengetahuan tentang
kebahasaan)
2. Menguasai dasar budaya dan sastra Inggris
3. Menguasai ilmu pendidikan dan metodologi belajar dan
pembelajaran yang meliputi perencanaan,
implementasi dan evaluasi pembelajaran.
4. Menguasai prinsip dasar penelitian
Ketrampilan Umum :
1. Mampu menulis karya ilmiah atau penelitian sederhana
2. Mampu mengambil keputusan dan memberi
penyelesaian masalah pendidikan bahasa Inggris secara
tepat berdasarkan data dan informasi yang akurat baik
secara mandiri ataupun kelompok
CP Ketrampilan Khusus
1. Mampu menggunakan Bahasa Inggris untuk
menciptakan komunikasi baik lisan maupun
tertulis secara lancar, akurat dan berterima
2. Mampu melaksanakan proses pembelajaran
bahasa Inggris dengan memanfaatkan berbagai
media pembelajaran dan TIK untuk menghasilkan
pembelajaran yang efektif kreatif dan berpusat
pada siswa
