Cigarettes and Alcohol

Cigarettes and alcohol are two othe
r kinds of legal drugs.
But smoking and excessive drinking
are not healthy for adults and are
off limits for kids. They are bad
for our health. Drugs can cause

death.
Cigarette
- Contains a lot of chemicals .
- Bad for health.

- All these chemicals are very

harmful and dangerous.
- There is also electronic
cigarette.
- Electronic cigarette is also very
harmful to humans.

How Cigarettes Damages Human

Body
- Smoking robs of some of human’s
good cholesterol.
- Smoking temporarily raises
human’s blood pressure.
 - Smoking increases the blood’s
clotting likelihood.
- Smoking makes it more difficult
to exercise.
- When a human inhales the smoke
from the cigarette, the smoke
goes into the body and damages
the lungs.

Alcohols / Drugs

- Drugs of abuse alter the way

people think, feel, and behave by
disrupting neurotransmission, the
process of communication between
brain cells.

biological effects on humans or
other animals. Foods are generally
excluded from this definition, in
spite of their physiological
effects on animal species.
In pharmacology, a drug is "a

mental well-
being."[6] Pharmaceutical drugs may
be used for a limited duration, or
on a regular basis for chronic
disorders.
Psychoactive drugs are chemical
substances that affect the function
of the nervous system,
altering perception, mood or consci
ousness.[10] Alcohol, nicotine, and
caffeine are the most widely
consumed psychoactive drugs
worldwide.[11]
Recreational drugs are drugs that
are not used for medicinal
purposes, but are instead used for
pleasure.[12] Common recreational
drugs include alcohol, nicotine and
caffeine, as well as other
substances such as opiates and
amphetamines.
Some drugs can cause addiction and
habituation and all drugs can
cause side effects. Many drugs are
illegal for recreational purposes
and international treaties such as
the Single Convention on Narcotic
Drugs exist for the purpose of
legally prohibiting certain
substances.
