Conclusion

RQ1:

The researcher concluded that the advocacies of the Archdiocese of Manila bring political and
social awareness to the Catholic voters of the District VI of the City of Manila. In terms of political
awareness the advocacy of Archdiocese of Manila gives the people insight about the current political
situation in the Philippines and how it affects the society especially the poor and vulnerable. And in the
part of social awareness, the advocacy of Archdiocese of Manila bring the people more aware about the
social issue such as alleged extra judicial killing and corruption in the government. Lastly, the researcher
found out that the campaign of the church serve us guide to the Catholic voters in choosing a particular
candidate during election.

RQ2:

The researchers concluded that the advocacy of Archdiocese of Manila can affect the political
perspective and participation of Catholic voters of the District VI of the City of Manila. Based on the
gathered data, majority of the respondent believed that the campaign of the church is for the common
good of the people and society. They view this as a positive action by the church against corruption and
alleged extra judicial killing in the country. The researchers also found out that the Catholic voters pay
high respect to the role of church regarding to vital issues facing by the Philippines.

RQ3:

In this research question, the researcher concluded that the majority of the respondent supported
the campaign of the Archdiocese of Manila. The people are glad about the advocacy of the church;
however they are not in favor of too much intervention of the church in the government policy. The
researchers found out that, more interference by the church to the government policy affect or lessen
their influence to the people and there is high probability that the people will no longer follow and support
them. Aside from this, in order to maintain the influence of the church and support of the people; the
church should engage more in promoting the teaching and saying of the Lord. And lessen their
interference to the government policy if necessary.

RQ4:

The researcher concluded that there a lot of problem exist in implementing the campaign of the
Archdiocese of Manila such financial problem, lack of support from the government, lack of church
coordinators or official who implement the campaign and criticism came from the government and both
form the Catholic and non-Catholic individuals. Among these problems, criticism in the campaign is the
major hindrance that causes the church officials to limit their advocacy. Criticism both came from the
government and from Catholic and Non-Catholic is not helpful to the church officials to bring to the
people what really meant of the campaign. And instead of helping the church to properly provide
information to the people about the campaign of the church, the government became the source of
misleading information to the campaign, for the government the advocacy of the church is political in
nature and pertains only to particular persons or administration.

RQ5:

Despite the different problems encountered by the Archdiocese of Manila in implementing the
campaign there are also possible solution suggested by the respondents on how to improve the campaign
of the church. The researcher concluded that in order to maintain and gain more support from the people
to the campaign. The Archdiocese of Manila especially the church officials should focus more on bible
teachings so that they can bring the people more closely to God. Daily advertisement of the campaign
through television, radio and particularly in social media site, because now a days, majority of the youth
are engage in social media. Then avoid too much intervention in the government if it is not within the
affairs of the church. And lastly, send church coordinators to the remote areas or places in the country in
order to teach the people about the campaign and provide them correct information about it.
