Lima’s International Film Club Annual Report

Introduction
The aim of this report is to provide to our club members an overview of the defining events which
marked this past year, to highlight the upcoming activities for the following season and to outline
the current financial status of the club.

Main Events
Lima’s International Film Club’s appeal and recognition have increased exponentially due to the
following:
- Annual Dinner: This prestigious culinary gathering attracted prominent political figures as
well as local celebrities which directed the spotlight towards the sophistication of the club
and its objective to promote the arts.
- Italian Film Weekend: Highly professional club members were invited to participate on
several panels during the Italian Film Festival celebrated in Rome. Lima’s International Film
Club was recognized with two participation awards and its registration application was
accepted by the Italian School of Filmography.
- Second Annual Fair: Under the club’s president’s guidance, the second annual fair was
inaugurated. The objective was to garner interest in how films have affected society’s
progress and aided cultural reforms. Attendance was higher than initially projected, with
over 5000 people in a two-day period.

Upcoming Activities
Some forthcoming undertakings are as follow:
- Video Library: After 18 grueling months, the video library website was launched. With a
collection of more than 500 films (and growing), this online library is poised to become
one of the largest assortments of worldwide filmography in the region. Although access to
its contents has been restricted to paying members, promotional agreements are being
finalized right now which will doubtless attract more online interest and traffic.
- Talk by Clint Eastwood: Thanks to the expanding notoriety and reputation of the club,
mixed with the multifarious connections of distinguished club members, renowned actor
and director Clint Eastwood has agreed to be interviewed online and talk about his
illustrious career. This interview will be led by the club’s president, Dr. Lawless.

Finances
The club’s financial stability continues to be its primordial strength, with an increasing number of
new members on a monthly basis.
- Monetary Inflow: Almost 40 new members have registered in the past year, with an
expectant 30 more to finalize their registration process in the following week. Additionally,
a substantial grant from a national organization supported by the ministry of culture was
donated with the solitary condition that it would be invested in the upcoming activities.
- Payments Made: As already discussed, the successful events carried out throughout the
past year were efficiently budgeted. The most expensive expenditures were film rentals
and stationery used for complimentary souvenirs.
