Theme of Jan 2018: Futuristic

The futuristic theme is defined as something that is more towards dreams, magical and
modern technology design. Besides that, it also symbolises ideas or things that do not
exist or widely known at the moment, and predicted to be a common thing in the future.
Thus after the first MOM (Minutes of Meeting) conducted with the group members,
our team has decided to use DORAEMON as our theme for this event. DORAEMON
is a popular Japanese anime manga series which is a memorable childhood memory to
many. The reason of choosing the DORAEMON anime as our theme is because as
technology of automotive and machinery has been improved throughout the decade,
and DORAEMON is a representation of moving towards the future, working towards
days ahead.

The type of services and products sell:

1. The products that going to sell is the Pumpkin juice. The reason of choosing to
sell this products is because this Pumpkin juice is an economic products where
it affordable by every students. Although the cost of this products is low but the
profit gain is going to be high. The pumpkin juice has the antioxidant properties
and it has a lot of fibres content, thus it is very suitable for the students to
consume. The predicted selling price for one cup of the juice is RM 2.50-3.00.
2. Another proposed product to be sold is also a food product, which is stuffed
waffle. Waffle is widely loved by all range of people and it is an affordable
snack. Waffles are easy to make and the ingredients are easily found.
Understand that the university’s cafeterias are selling waffle as well, we make
sure our product is different than the others. By considering that students and
lecturers are always tight and busy with their schedule, stuffed waffles make
everything easier without them to worry about waffle toppings slip out of hands.
It comes with a few varieties, sweet and savoury. (Pizza waffles, chocolate chips
waffles, oreo waffles, marshmallow waffles)

3. The next product that came up with the plan is a dessert that widely loved by
the youngest to the elder’s which is Chocolate Chip Brownies. Brownies might
derive from chocolate cakes, becoming a denser and shorter version. Normally,
a brownie is approximately 1 inch in height and since it is quite dense, it has a
chewy texture that provides a very sweet flavour. Typically, it needs only few
ingredients to make it. The goal here is to make it look simple and delicious.
Moreover, our team believe that this could be a go to desserts for those who are
in rush. For those who have more time can buy our vanilla ice cream topped
with chocolate chip brownies (limited edition). All the items that’s going to be
sold is wrapped with paper bags and plates because taking environmentally
motivated choices can improve our lives in many ways.

4. In relation to the Futuristic theme, it is no doubt that scientists from all around
the world is looking forward to Future Glass Technology 2020. Even in the
present age, hundreds of smart gadget companies and organizations are working
on the future of glass revolution. With this in mind, the futuristic food that can
well compliment this era is Glass Chips. Glass Chips are made from simple
ingredients such as Yukan Gold Potatoes and the chips are only made from
potato starch and potato stock, which explains the transparency of the potatoes.
This gives it the “glass-like” look it gets, hence, the name. However, it doesn’t
compromise the “crisp” as one would get from a normal potato chip. Futuristic
snack food such as these is not only lesser in calories, but it is also packed in
Plantable Seed Paper. When the paper is planted, the paper decomposes itself
into the soil and let the seeds germinate. Within a few days the seedlings become
plant and bloom into flowers, herbs or vegetables.
