Task 2 : Waste Not Want Not

Problem statement

Wastage of opportunities for children cancer patients (age 7-15) due to low self esteem, leading to a lack in talents in future.

Why is this a significant problem?

Having low self esteem can bring about major and minor consequences. ( eg.Depression), which would affect the outlook of life and their lifestyle.

Reasons for the choice of topic

According to the US News Health1, a cancer survivor suffers from effects of the disease and its treatments are not physical and psychological such

as low self esteem.

Furthermore, they would lose out on their studies and fall behind their peers academically. Not being able to be on the same level as their

Who are we?

We are a group of volunteers of all ages who

would go into wards to teach these children
different instruments or arts.

What do we do?

Supporting one another through art. The

children would be taught paper origami, sand
