ABSTRACT
Background : The study results in hospital Aisiyah Kudus 2016 to 2017 as many as 31 cases of
puerperal women with pre-eclampsia. Based on the incidence of pre-eclampsia are at risk to
mother and fetus, the authors are interested to study the case with the management of obstetric 7
steps varney.
Aim: Implement midwifery care postpartum mothers in Ny. A P2A1 35 years of age with severe
pre-eclampsia using SOAP management approach and determine the gap between theory and
practice.
Method : The research method using interviews, observation, physical examination, investigation,
documentation, library research.
result: In the case of Ny. A stated headache, blurred vision, pain at the incision, and swelling in

conclusion: From the discussion at Ny. A P2A1 35 years of age with severe pre-eclampsia occurs
