Empowerment • yung balik-paaralan that is presently the alternative learning system because
they used to change the name, so, originally tawag doon ay BPOSA. then later
Establishing Linkages on, ang ALS under sa non-formal education but later on yung kanilang system
management nagiiba yung BPOSA they used to go to school using the module,
then they attend their classes during saturdays, and sometimes, they dont report
to you because they are working so ang estudyante hindi ma-drop, they are just
inactive. Inactive in the sense that they dont go to school because they are at
work. pinapabayaan lang siya, they'll just go back to you. kino-contact mo siya,
"how are you going?", "is something happening to you?where are your
modules?", "ma'am busy ako, i'll just see you next week..." so, proper monitoring
kasi yung iba taxi-driver...
• then pagkagraduate nila, binibisitahan yung kanilang mga negosyo, may
monitoring and tracking system pa rin, and we organize a cooperative. sa ngayon
may cooperative kami. yung mga miyembro yung mga instructional manager,
tawag sa kanila ngayon instructional manager yung mga teachers. may area
yan--music, english, science, math, so, may entrepreneurship siya. yung
entrepreneurship talagang nandun. may dalawang system, yun yung
magpapatuloy ng kanyang education to college, academic then the other one is
the entrepreneurship. if you will go on academic side then you will take it up. yun
yung senior high school program, nagiba lang ng pangalan talagang ini-
implement since 1997 pa. so yung nagacademic side, they would take up test
then they would proceed sa college. so, yung certificate of completion talagang

signed by the DepEd secretary, dinadala sa school. you have to take your
entrance to the college then yun na lang yung card mo kasi yung rating namin
nung una is ABC lang hindi numerical. so descriptive yung rating nila but later on
hindi na ako yung coordinator, nag-iba na yung pangalan ALS na naman. yung
system ng ALS alam ko pa rin kasi assistant to the principal for special projects
and programs sa school. so, alam ko yung kanilang management on how to
conduct that. so parang expanded PEPT parang hindi na sila ngayon nagbibigay
ng entrepreneurial. accreditation and equivalencies , so parang expanded PEPT
yan talagang they go to school they accomplish the module. guided na sila then
they would take the exam ng mga august or september. so, titignan yan kung
ikaw ay anung level ka na. pero yung iba sa second level pa lang, pagkuha nila
ng exam they pass high school na, so, they go to college na. yung mga passers at
present they also attend the graduation program ng whole school they have their
own toga. so, yung brother-in-law ko, younger brother n ghusband ko, he is a
PEPT passer. from third year, nag jump siya to college. now he is the president of
the Carlos Hilado Memorial College, they are now in Australia, si Dr. Renato
Soralla. 1998 awarding, so, PEPT passer, he did not finish his high school but he is
a good example of ALS. sabi ko sa kanya, "...soralla, you'll be invited". so, its the
pride of the metrobank that one of the awardees is an ALS passer. so i-invitenain
siya siguro sa orientation ng ALS
• and we put up the regional research center. so, yung center was donated by our
alumni, the group of senator Santiago batch 61 when they had their golden
jubilee. so, they put up a research center pag alam ng regional office ng DepEd
inilipat yung ibang thesisng masteral pati ng doctoral sa research center namin.
yung mga naggra-graduate studies they used to go to our school, they used to go
to the DepEd regional office. meron na silang pupuntahan research center aside
from that in the DepEd regional office.
• yung unang batch, yung kanilang requirement for graduation is a business plan.
so, livelihood, they have to write a business plan and i used to find sources of
fund, so,guided ng DepEd, yung iba DSWD. may financial support na binibigaysa

kanila, so, mga way back 2000, 1997/1999 they were given 5,000 an initial
capital for their proposed projects.

Hardwork working on the accreditation of the secondary school kasi we used to practice the
Commitment accreditation lang ng college. so ngayon we developed the instrument im
Dynamic working with the central office. so, kahit naka-base ako sa ilo-ilo, i am often
Competence times called. na-launch na siya actually last year, so, its ready for the
Leadership implementation this year, so, we call it PASBE, Philippine Accreditation System
Heart in Teaching for Basic Education. we worked on that for 5 years, yung secondary kasi yung
Dedicated projects, simpler which was initiated by the fourth convention as supervised by
Motivating dr. ton-ton turalba so, often times we used to write and harmonize the
Supportive elementary and the secondary.so dun naka-base lang ako, yung mga kasama ko
Caring kasi sa high school sila, they got promoted and they go to college but there are

Guides school, i am working under the metrobank. kasi sabi ko, its okay lang naman na

Engaging • Enjoy working! i enjoy working along with education, i have my heart on

Innovative principal for special programs and projects...presently, we are putting up a 9.2
Skilled million I.T. unit, and i've just seen the senator Santiago over alumni regarding
that idea building that is being prepared for the senior high school parang mix-up
yung mga ginagawa ko... sa classroom, i go with etching, i go with the linkages,
creative also....
