Objectives
Description
This activity was handled by College of Arts and Sciences and actively participated
by the different departments and organizations of the school.
Narrative
Last September 23, 2016, the College of Arts and Sciences celebrated their week
through conducting academic and non- academic activities. Competitions are open to all
the students of each College Department of Westmead International School.
Battle of the Brains, CAS Annual Debate, 1st WIS Hugot Battle and Your Face
Sounds Familiar are the activities which has been participated by college students.
JPIA’s representatives for Battle of the Brains- Donna Hernandez, Jhon Jhomer
Bantugon and Jemuel Flores got the 2nd place and Bianca Cammile Moral, a 4th year
JPIAngot the title for Your Face Sounds Familiar 2016.

Description
This activity was handled by College of Engineering and actively participated by the
different departments and organizations of the school.
Narrative
The celebration of College of Engineering Week started on October 10, 2016 with the
theme “Soaring High towards Technical Advancement for Globalization.” JPIAn’s actively
participated to activities organized by CoE held at Westmead International School,
Alangilan Campus.
JPIA’s mathematicians Jemuel Flores, Rolly Buquid and Lorna Onda got the 2nd Place
in the Math Tagisan Quiz Bee. The Girl Trends from 3rd year and 4th year got the 2nd Place
and these students who danced gracefully were Deylen Aala, Irene Maala, Luzelle Cuevas,
Ma. Jennel Sandoval, Guada Gillado, Eliza Joy Espuerta, Joanna Oronan and Cammile Bianca
Moral.
The search for Mr. and Ms. WIS Swap 2016 was held at WIS Court and the
representatives of JPIA for the said event were Adrian Macatangay and Claudine De Las

Alas. The two got the award for the People’s Choice and Adrian got Best in Long Gown
Award. After the tough question and answer portion, Claudine and Adrian got the title for
Mr. and Ms. WIS SWAP 2016.

Description
This activity was handled by College of Engineering and actively participated by the
different departments and organizations of the school.
Narrative
As part of 112th founding Anniversary of BIR, a tax quiz bee was conducted last July 25,
2016 at BIR building road hilltop Batangas City.This year’s tax quiz bee was divided into
two levels, the District Level and the Regional Level Competition.
This activity was participated by students coming from Westmead International
School, University of Batangas, Lyceum of the Philippines University and Batangas State
University. Each school sent 5 delegates. Overall there are 20 students who competed for
the District level competition. The top two students who will get the highest scores will be
competing for the Regional level.

Our Senior JPIAnsrepresentatives are Patricia Carmella Tanzo, Charlene Landicho,
LorelynAbdon, Angelica Comia and Angelica Gonzales. At the end of the competition
Carmella Tanzo got the 4th place and LorelynAbdon got the 10th place. All students were
given a certificate as well as their respective schools.

Narrative
The JPIA LPU Batangas organized their 7th Peter P. Laurel Park Cup with the theme:
“The Surge of Accounting Pirates” last February 5, 2017 at the Freedom Hall, Sotero H.
Laurel Building, Llyceum of the Philippines University, Batangas City. As part of the
event, a seminar was also conducted. Mr. Ivan YannickBagayao, CPA, MBA talked
about the great side of academe as an accounting profession.
There were 10 competing schools such as Westmead International School,
University of Batangas, Batangas State University, De La Salle Lipa, San Pablo
Colleges, Rizal College of Technology, Laguna Colleges, Calayan Educational
Institution, Manuel S. Enverga Colleges and Lyceum of the Philippines University
Manila. Each school may send a maximum of three team, a team composed of 3
participants such as First Mate (Level 1), Quarter Master (Level 2) and Captain (Level
3).

JPIA WIS sent 3 teams.Team Acomposed ofDonna Mae Hernandez, LenitaMojar
and Patricia Carmella Tanzo. Team B were Gennia Martinez, Queency Lyn Timenia and
Maycel Ramos. And lastly, team C were Lorna Onda, Benjie Hernandez and Mia Joy
Dimatatac. There are 24 competing teams to the Elimination round and Team A
qualified to the top 12 teams. At the end of the competition Laguna Colleges won the 7 th
PPL CUP. All the participating students as well as their respective schools were given a
certificate at the end of the program.

Narrative
The 7th Annual Business forum with the theme “E-Business: Revolutionizing the Global
Marketplace” organized by WIS Business major students was held at the Provincial
Capitol Site, Batangas City on the 3rd day of February 2017. It has been participated by
WIS students from Senior High School and various college departments such as
College of Engineering, College of Arts and Sciences, School of Economics, Business
and Accountancy, College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, College of
Information Technology and Computer Studies and College of Teacher Educations.
There were also guest schools from Lemery Colleges,CLB, Rizal College of Technology
and Golden Gates.
There three guest speakers were Mr. Sean Patrick Si (Founder and CEO – SEO
Hacker), Ms. Ada Vina Cuaresma (Founder, Voice Care Philippines) and Mr. Francis
Miranda (VP – Strategy, Development and Servicing). All of the speakers shared their
experiences and inspire students on how to become successful on their chosen fields.

They also tackled how technological advancement can help to achieve the goals of
students.

Narrative
Westmead International School celebrates its10th Founding Anniversary with the theme
of “A Decade of Learning Beyond Borders” hosted by College of Tourism and
Hospitality Management.
Each organization aspires to be recognize as the over- all champion of this year’s
event .Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants actively participated not only in
academics but even in non- academic events that shows their talents and skills.
Several awards were given to JPIA students like as kpop 2 nd place and Speech
Choir 3rd place. JPIA also got an award in sports competition like badminton and chess.
Ms. Charlene Landicho, JPIA representative was awarded as Miss Foundation
rd
3 runner up.
With the combined effort of Association of Business Majors (ABM) and Junior
Philippine Institute of Accounts (JPIA), School of Economics Business and Accountancy
(SEBA) was recognized as 3rd place in the over-all champion.
