The 17 properties of the World Heritage Sites are located in Kyoto Prefecture. These
References heritage sites are attracting many people since each embodies a respective era in which it
was constructed. You are in the central of Kyoto. About transportations, mostly you have to
take buses, or rent a bike. Trains are only two lines. I wrote one day tickets system below.

Open everyday Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama (If you like hiking). You can see whole Kyoto from
there.
The park is temporarily closed

Recommended place to visit Day 2

Please head there in the early morning to avoid the queue.

Take JR Line to go to Fushimi Inari Shrine (from Kyoto Station) for 7 minutes . Enjoy hike
up to the top. (If you hike the entire route, it will take approximately two hours)

Take Keihan Line to go to Shimogamo Shrine.

Alight at Demachiyanagi Station, then go north walk 15 minutes.

Next, take a taxi to go to Kamigamo Shrine, Kamigamo Jinja, "Upper Kamo Shrine"

Recommended place to visit Day 3

Visit Kiyomizudera Temple in early morning to avoid the queue.

From Kyoto Station, you can take 100 / 206 bus to get there.

The bus stop is in front of the Kyoto Tower. Night view is also very nice, but you must wait a
long queue.
Walk down on Higashiyama District to Kodai Ji Temple, then Maruyama Park

Walk down to Nanzenji Temple, Tetsugaku Road, then Ginkakuji Temple.


Eikando Temple to the Philosopher's Path (哲学の道, Tetsugaku no michi) is a pleasant
stone path through the northern part of Kyoto's Higashiyama district.
