TME Company Information

Established in 1952, TME Group Pty Ltd has developed a reputation for projects completed
“up to a standard, not down to a price”. Our group’s determination to continually achieve
better results for our clients is the main factor that underpins the success of our
business.

TME is uniquely positioned as a mid-sized engineering, skilled labour hire and mining
services company. This place in the market ensures that our team has the resources to
undertake a comprehensive range of projects and still remain a customer-focus
organisation.

The philosophy that fuels our success is “use only the best”. This applies not only to our
management, staff and employees, but also to the work practices and resources our
team use to carry out their work.

It is our aim to be a value-added service provider
and view ourselves as a partner with the client in
the management of Critical Path - not just another
Contract Company.

Mill Reline Division
Continuous Improvement
A situation that had potential for significant downtime developed where the grapple
hook on the liner handler failed with no spares available. An alternative solution was
implemented by reline staff with the use of chain blocks.

End Result
No Hold up to the job.
Mill Reline Division
Cost Savings
Our Clients working in a close partnership with TME have reduced reline incurred
downtime. Examples of TME introduced innovations are:
• Implementation of the liner removal tool on Bobcats

Reporting – Short Interval Control
This specially designed program (developed by TME) tracks the progress of a
Mill reline. It provides up to the minute information including parts moved, time lost
and the estimated time of completion (taking all delays into account). The information
is presented in table format and graphs.
The advantages of this reporting system are:
• During the course of a reline the reporting system will show what stage the reline is at, based
on parts moved, parts remaining, downtime incurred and estimated completion time.
• The reporting system provides complete detail of all lost time allowing the divisional
stakeholders during the course of the reline to make informed management decisions.
• The reporting system provides information relevant to other maintenance activities being
conducted at the time of the reline, allowing for critical path management.
• Post Reline a detailed report will be provided to site highlighting all lost time events, allowing
site management reduce or eliminate reoccurrence in the future.
