ECSD Act prt 2

1. Perform a brief research on the distinction between Ethics and Morals.
R: Ethics are the guiding principles which help the individual or group to
decide what is good or bad. Morals are the beliefs of the individual or group
as to what is right or wrong.
2. Perform a brief research on the major ethical theories to understand their
basic principles:
 Aristotelian Ethics: the most importtant point in this theory are: The highest
good and the end toward which all human activity is directed is
happiness, moral virtue cannot be achieved abstractly — it requires moral
action in a social environment, One attains happiness by a virtuous life and
the development of reason and the faculty of theoretical wisdom. Virtuous
acts require conscious choice and moral purpose or motivation. Moral virtue
is a relative mean between extremes of excess and deficiency, and in
general the moral life is one of moderation in all things except virtue.
 Hedonism (Epicurus): dentify pleasure and pain as the only important
elements of whatever phenomena they are designed to describe. the claim
that pleasure and pain are the only things of ultimate importance is what
makes hedonism distinctive and philosophically interesting.
 Kantian Ethics: the rightness or wrongness of actions does not depend on
their consequences but on whether they fulfill our duty.

 , Utilitarianism: its core idea is that whether actions are morally right or
wrong depends on their effects. More specifically, the only effects of actions
that are relevant are the good and bad results that they produce.
 Dialogical ethics: assumes the importance of the meeting of communicative
ground that gives rise to a particular sense of good and is simultaneously
open to learning and emergent insight that belongs to an ontological reality
3. Identify one theory that suits you best and explain it further.
I thnki I´m Aristotelian, because I always seahc the way that I´m happy and
only the important people to me are happy, my family, Friends, some
teachers, adn also if something I don’t like or makes me feel bad, I avoid
that think, of course i fis something like homework or some chores, i do, but
i fis not neccesary I don’t do it.
4. Videos reflections:
Both talks about the manufactoring process of the mosto f the materilas,
from the sources like tres, rocks, mines, ocean, and some other sources, to
the hands of the client, in the video show the way of how is produce, and
mosto of them are not good for the environment, in this example the
environment is affected in a bad way, for the reason of they are not
sustainables processesand that affects all, for me i fis more expensive, but
helps the nature, doesn’t matter you have to do in the correct way.
