FOR THE SESSION 2010-2011 (11-BATCH)
Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology, Nawabshah is a public sector university recognised
by the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad and accredited with Pakistan Engineering Council.
Applications are invited on the prescribed forms from eligible candidates domiciled in the province of Sindh for
admission in Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology, Nawabshah / Constituent Engineering
College Larkana to the First Year of Bachelor’s degree (four year) full time courses in the following disciplines under
Regular and Self-Finance.
Candidates having domicile of other provinces of Pakistan can apply under Self-Finance scheme only against reserved
quota.
BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING (BE)
DEGREE COURSES MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY / QUALIFICATIONS
1. DISCIPLINES AT QUEST, NAWABSHAH i) Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) (Pre-Engineering)
in C-grade (min. 55% aggregate marks excluding the
i. Civil Engineering marks of Hifz-ul-Quran)
ii. Computer Systems Engineering OR
iii. Electrical Engineering Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the
iv. Electronic Engineering University (min. 55% aggregate marks excluding the
v. Energy & Environment Engineering marks of Hifz-ul-Quran)
vi. Mechanical Engineering
ii) Candidates having passed Diploma of Associate Engineer
2. DISCIPLINES AT CONSTITUENT in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical from S.B.T.E. can

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (BS)

DEGREE COURSES MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY / QUALIFICATIONS
3. DISCIPLINES AT QUEST, NAWABSHAH Candidates having passed HSC (Pre-Engineering / General
i. Information Technology (IT) Science with Mathematics) in C-grade (min. 55% aggregate
ii. Mathematics marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran).
OR
Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the
University (min. 55% aggregate marks excluding the marks
of Hifz-ul-Quran)
iii. Computer Science, (CS) In addition to above, candidates having passed HSC (Pre-

PRE-ADMISSION TEST
All eligible candidates who are desirous of seeking Pre-admission test would be held on Sunday,
admission to any of the B.E. / BS Programme at 07th November, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at B-Sector of
Quaid-e-Awam University / Constituent Engineering QUEST Campus, Nawabshah Sindh Pakistan.
College Larkana will be required to appear in an MCQ
type (written) pre-admission test and obtain minimum
score of + 12 percent. Model paper of such a test and
other relevant information are incorporated in the
Prospectus.

Application form alongwith Prospectus can also be obtained through post / courier from the office of undersigned after
a written request is made accompanied by Bank Draft of Rs.1600- (including postal charges) in favour of Director
Finance, QUEST, Nawabshah alongwith a self addressed large envelope (size 11” x 15”).
Application form duly completed in all respects and accompanied by attested photostat copies of the required
documents must be deposited with the same branch of National Bank of Pakistan upto 27th August 2010 or sent by
mail under registered cover to reach the office of the undersigned latest by 3rd September, 2010.
In case of application under self-finance the Bank Demand Draft (original) of requisite Admission fee for Engineering
Course Rs.325000/- in favour of Director Finance, QUEST, Nawabshah be submitted with the application form.
However, in case of admission in BS (Bachelor of Science) courses under self-finance scheme, Demand Draft of
Rs.100000/- may be submitted alongwith application form. No application form under Self Finance will be considered
without original Bank Demand Draft of the required Self Finance Fee.
Eligible candidates from abroad can apply for admission on Self Finance basis against the payment of US $10000/= or
equivalent to Pakistan rupees in favour of Director Finance of this University subject to the clearance from Government
of Pakistan.
ADMIT CARDS/SLIPS FOR THE PRE-ADMISSION TEST
Admit cards/ slips for the Pre-admission test may be collected (in person) from the office of the undersigned from 18.10.2010
to 20.10.2010 during office hours. The remaining slips would be dispatched on the mailing address (provided by the
candidate in application form) of the applicants at their own risk on 21.10.2010. The duplicate slips would be issued
from 04.11.2010 to 06.11.2010 on payment of Rs.300- each. The candidates are required to report for the test latest by
09:30 a.m. on the date and venue of the pre-admission test.
