ABSTRACT: Situate the work with the dialogic reading in the classroom as a
process of interaction that causes the pupil, and also on the teacher, engagement,
responsive activities, meaning of texts in a discursive level. We agree with
Almeida (2013, p. 14) for whom “reading is an embodied practice by gestures,
habits and spaces and therefore it is necessary to distinguish the readers (who),
the reading traditions (what is read) and the ways of reading(as). “Therefore,
we raise the question-problem: how a gender approach takes in the context of
planning, can contribute to the teaching and learning of discursive readings in
high school in the context of Adult Education? In these terms, the aim of this
study is to provide a didactic proposal that involves the use of gender strip in
reading classes. The specific objectives include: a) to discuss the possibility
of tackling this gender discourse in the classroom, in order to promote and
stimulate discourse-reflective readings b) contribute to discussions that bring
the teaching of the language of the actual situations of use language, since
teaching practices need to begin language activities contextualized way and
disregard the study focused only on the structure of an isolated system and
meaningless. The article is guided by theoretical contributions from the Dialogic
Discourse Analysis (Bakhtin and the Circle) that reads the speech as verbal
life in motion or language practice assigning a set of statements that relate to
each other and have demarcated senses and the Educommunication. The strips
selected for the proposed production deal with topics such as politics, prejudice,
honesty and water consumption. Because it is a didactic proposal from the point
of view of results, the study contributes to reflections that promote discussions
on the relationship between theories of discourse and contemporary teaching
Portuguese, with a view to forming high school teachers and students, each
