Who is the lesson for?

Where did the lesson take place?

The lesson is for the students in KG 1 which are 5 and 4 years old, the lesson were in the classroom, and I
did the introduction of the lesson in the circle area, and the activities in their places which is in the table.

What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?

For clarifying, I was trying to achieve in the lesson is deliver the information for the children in an
interested way, Also, I was focusing in let them behave during the lesson, so I used classroom
management’s strategy such as the happy and the sad face, and using a bell.

What did the students do?

During introducing the lesson, student was so active, and they were interest on the mystery box, they
were want to open the box and see what inside the box. Students were behaved because I grab their
attention by the big J balloon.

Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?
How well did you engage the students?

Students were so excited when they saw the box, and they want to see what inside the box, and when I
showed them they were surprise and they said “oh it’s a grapes” and they telling me, “what inside the
box what inside the box”

In the end of the lesson, I gave each students a white bored and marker, then I let them to write or
draw what they learn in this lesson, then I start to observe them in order to know who learn the
lesson and who is not.

Appraise (A):
Explain the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective

I think the students were so interesting in the lesson, and they enjoying doing the activities. The student
was response me, and they are doing what I told them to do, that’s why I think the lesson were
successful.

Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?

For clarification, I achieved my learning goals, because during the activities I ask the students lots of
questions and they were response me in the correct way. For example, when I ask them about the sound
of the letter they were answering me.

Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
In the mystery box part especially I let the children to guess what inside the box, and they did not know,
and when I took it out, I say the name of the objective, I think to enhance students learning skills I should
let the students to say what is that, that will help them to develop their cognitive skills.

What are the implications for your professional practice?

In the lesson I tried to manage the time of the class, because always they don’t have time, because they
are leaving early, so I tried my best to give them the lesson in a short period.
