Reading Ezekiel chapter 5:1-17

Subject: The fourth acted parable and the explanation of all four parables.

Questions

1. Ezekiel 5:1-4. Describe this fourth acted parable. What would happen to the
inhabitants of Jerusalem? Look up Isaiah 7:20 and 2 Samuel 10:4-5.

2. What was Ezekiel’s view on the doctrine of the remnant?

3. Ezekiel 5:5-17. The explanation of the signs. In what ways was Jerusalem
the centre of the world?

4. Why is Israel’s wickedness greater than that of the surrounding nations?

Look up Amos 3:2.

5. Ezekiel 5:13. Find 2 references to the zeal of the Lord in the Old Testament
and one in the New Testament.

6.Ezekiel 5:17. Pestilence and blood are one plague. Compare verse 10 with
Leviticus 26:29 and Deuteronomy 28:53.

7. What are the four scourges? How much of this is man-made? Look up
Ezekiel 14:21-23 & Revelation 6:7-8.
