You are advised to spend about 45 minutes on this section.

Question 1

Gangsterism in schools is on the rise. You have attended a talk given by a Police Officer in
your area. As the school Head Prefect, you have been asked to give a speech during the
school assembly on ‘Gangsterism in schools’.

You have noted down the following points:

Reasons:
 Lack of attention from parents
 Pressure from friends
 Influence of mass media

Suggestions
 Have more counselling sessions
 Enforce stricter rules
 Involve parents in school activities

When writing the speech, remember to :

 give an appropriate opening and closing
 state the purpose of your speech
 use all the points given
 elaborate on all the points given

Write a composition of about 350 words on one of the following topics:

(a) Describe a busy day at a market or a shopping mall.

(b) “Studying locally is better than studying abroad.” Do you agree?

(c) Homework

(d) Qualities of a true Malaysian.

(e) Write a story that ends with:

“What started off as an adventure turned out to be a nightmare.”
