OFFICE ORDER

In the exigency of the service, and due to the proximity of the concerned PAO
services and district offices to the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) offices
in Banawe, Quezon City; Calamba City, Laguna; and, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, the
lawyers of the following PAO services and district offices shall observe the following:
1. Labor cases of indigents and other qualified clients to be filed or which are
pending before the NLRC in Banawe, Quezon City, shall be handled by
PAO Lawyers from the (1) Legal Research Service (LRS); (2) Field
Operations Statistics Service (FOSS), PAO-Central Office; (3) Manila
City District Office; and/or, (4) Quezon City District Office, PAO-
National Capital Region, at the choice of the client.
2. Labor cases of indigents and other qualified clients to be filed or which are
pending before the NLRC in Calamba City, Laguna, shall be handled by
PAO lawyers from the Calamba City, Laguna District Office, PAO-
CALABARZON Region; while those to be filed or are pending before the
NLRC in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, shall be handled by PAO lawyers
from the Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro District Office, PAO-
MIMAROPA Region.
The PAO lawyers concerned are mandated to assist their clients in the filing of their
complaint, during the preliminary conference, and up to the latest stage of the proceedings
in the NLRC. Thereafter, when meritorious for elevation to the Court of Appeals and the
Supreme Court, the Special and Appealed Cases Service (SACS), PAO-Central Office,
shall handle the case. To this end, the PAO lawyer who handled the case before the
NLRC is mandated to immediately turn over the complete records of the case to SACS.

The labor cases presently being handled by other district offices and which
were previously assigned to them prior to the effectivity of this order shall
continuously be handled by them to avoid disruption of legal services due to transfer
of cases. Henceforth, district offices in the National Capital Region, the
CALABARZON Region (IV-A), and the MIMAROPA Region (IV-B), other than
those mentioned herein, are prohibited from accepting new labor cases upon the
effectivity of this order.
This Order shall take effect IMMEDIATELY and shall remain in force until
further orders.
Let all concerned be furnished with a copy of this Order for their information
and guidance.
