The Throughout this project you will develop your skills as a songwriter. You will research techniques
project used to compose, and apply them to your own creations. You will work with other musicians,
brief perform and record your work, and present it to various audiences. You are likely to come to this
project with some ideas that are not fully realised, and that will later be developed by either an
application of your own techniques or through group workshop sessions.
Scenario A music publishing company with in-house songwriters is looking for new talent. They require
you to submit a portfolio of songs, and a completed show-reel. You will also need to provide a
video of your material being performed by live musicians, and a presentation on how you
develop and workshop your ideas.
