Filling Out the Installation Certificate
Installation Certificate XP00-000.813.01.01 must be filled out by the responsible installa‐
tion engineer during installation and cabling. The completed installation has to be con‐
firmed by the signature of the responsible installation engineer and the project manager.
Both the responsible installation engineer and the project manager should receive a copy
of the certificate. The original installation certificate should be sent to SSME XP SCM.

n Remove two transport safety devices ( pos1/Fig. 3 Page 11).
n To remove the front cover, insert a 2.5 mm Allen key through the hole
( pos1/Fig. 3 Page 11).
n Loosen the two front cover panel screws (do not remove the M3 Allen screws).
n Remove the front cover panel towards the front.
n Reinstall the two transport safety devices ( pos1/Fig. 3 Page 11).

n Remove the 4 screws on the table frame ( arrows/Fig. 6 Page 13) and tap them out
towards the bottom.
Move the Stand. Move the stand by pulling at the load bearing points.

Take note of the table support points that are shown ( Fig. 7 Page 14).
Do not remove the footswitch at this time ( pos7/Fig. 2 Page 10).
2.3.1 1. If the door open width is more than 88 cm, moving the the system to
the installation location is normal.
2.3.2 2. If the door opening width is less than 88 but more than 75
n Please see the illustration ( pos1/Fig. 8 Page 15), the distance from the bottom of
table base to top is 75 cm. If the narrow door openig is less than the 75 cm, turn over
the table base to pass it through the opening.

n The opening is 65 cm if the top table frame is removed to pass it through the outside
door.
n To disassemble the top table frame, please see the steps below:
n Then turn over the table base 90 degrees and move it through the outside door. The
method is the same as in chapter: The small door opening for 88 cm - 75 cm

n Align the drilling template according to the room plan. When doing this, the reference
point of the drilling template ( Fig. 22 Page 22) must be lined up with the orienta‐
tion point shown in the room plan.
n Based on the drilling template, mark the 5 holes ( pos1/Fig. 22 Page 22) and the hole
( pos2/Fig. 22 Page 22) on the left or the hole ( pos3/Fig. 22 Page 22) on the right
side, depending on the installation. Drill the 12-mm diameter holes for the table. In
the same way, mark the 4 holes for the Bucky wall stand depending on the layout us‐
ing the drilling template (according to the customer order to select the drilling loca‐
tion of the BWS SID using the BWS template) ( Fig. 23 Page 22). Once the BWS is
centered, the holes for the BWS can be drilled.
The cover for the electrical parts on the left side and the metal part to secure the connec‐
tors on the right side need to be removed before the drilling for the set screw to avoid a
collision.
n Check alignment of the table frame in the longitudinal ( pos1/Fig. 26 Page 25) and
transverse directions ( pos1/Fig. 27 Page 25) with a spirit level.
n Use the 4 leveling screws ( pos1/Fig. 25 Page 24) to level the table in the longitudi‐
nal and transverse directions.
n Place shims under the table at the locations provided ( Fig. 25 Page 24).
- Back of table: Insert the shims ( pos2/Fig. 25 Page 24) so that the rail is also shim‐
med.
n Remove the transport safety devices by removing the 2 screws on the rear of the
Bucky ( Pos1/Fig. 28 Page 26) (for table Version 00).

n Remove the transport safety devices by removing the 6 screws on both sides of the
Bucky ( Pos1/Fig. 29 Page 26) (for table Version 01).
n Remove the transport device by removing the 4 screws (under the tabletop)

Be careful of getting your hands caught when the table frame is moved because the red
frame has been removed.
n Slide the three rails of cassette tray plate into the end position.

n If inserting the Bucky tray was not correct and you would like to put it back, you can

When connecting with Iontomat, ensure that the black side of the connector is facing up

When connecting with Iontomat, ensure that the red side of the connector is facing up

chapter "Installing the Tabletop with Material Number: 10644801" ( Installing the Tab‐
letop with Material Number: 10644801 / Page 45).
n Remove the two stop blocks ( pos3/Fig. 47 Page 38) in the middle on both sides of
the tabletop.
n Slide the tabletop onto the table base.
n While sliding on the tabletop, hold the brake assembly pressed.

n Reinstall the two stop blocks on the tabletop.( pos1,2/Fig. 47 Page 38)
n Remove the 4 end stops ( pos1/Fig. 47 Page 38) on the 2 ends of the tabletop to
install it on the table base.
n Place the tabletop ( pos1/Fig. 48 Page 39) on the base assembly
( pos2/Fig. 48 Page 39).
n Lift the tabletop at the foot end approximately 10cm and slide the tabletop towards
the head end until you reach the table ring( pos3/Fig. 49 Page 39).
n Lower the tabletop ( pos1/Fig. 49 Page 39) at the foot end and slide the tabletop
back towards the foot end ( Fig. 49 Page 39).
n Reinstall the 4 end stops ( pos1/Fig. 47 Page 38).
In the case of extremely small rooms, the minimum distance of the tabletop to the wall
can be reduced to 50 mm instead of 250 mm.
This point is relevant only if the room is so narrow that the table base has to be removed
to install the tabletop.
To install the tabletop on the table in extremely small rooms proceed as follows:

n Remove the left/right base cover ( pos1/Fig. 50 Page 40) by removing the Allen

Please check the system serial number; if it is higher than 10022 (including 10022),
please follow the installation steps below to install the tabletop.
n Insert the tabletop in the direction of the arrow as shown in the illustration below
( Fig. 62 Page 45).
n When the position is reached ( pos1/Fig. 62 Page 45), stop insertion of the tab‐
letop.

Avoid damaging the magnet and guide wheel while inserting the tabletop

n As shown in the illustration below ( Fig. 66 Page 49), use a 2.5 mm wrench to
move the end stop in tabletop rail until the two holes in end stop align with the two
holes in the tabletop in the middle of the tabletop rail.

(1) Align the two holes in the end stop with the two holes in the tabletop
n Use Loctite 221 on the threads of the two end stop screws.
n Tighten the two screws ( pos4/Fig. 63 Page 46) on the end stops
( Fig. 67 Page 50).

n Install the four covers on the tabletop ( pos1/Fig. 68 Page 50). The four covers and

n Attach the longitudinal rail ( pos1/Fig. 76 Page 55) and ( pos1/Fig. 75 Page 54) to
the table base with the open end on the extension side as shown in
( Fig. 76 Page 55). Use the nine screws included in the shipment to secure the longi‐
tudinal rail ( pos2/Fig. 75 Page 54).
Apply Loctite 221 threadlocker to the nine screws.
T Tighten the nine screws to 10 N with a torque wrench.
n For right-sided conversion, the extension is on the opposite side. Refer to the section
on changing the longitudinal rail for right-sided version.
While installing the longitudinal rail, note that the standard version is left sided.
The short rubber buffer on the rail is always located on the side away from the table
(along the extension). The longer buffer is always on the side facing the table.
n Tighten the screws for the longitudinal rail ( pos2/Fig. 75 Page 54)
and( pos1/Fig. 76 Page 55) to the required torque value.
When installing the longitudinal rail, make sure that the “Risk of tripping” warning label
dose not get damaged.
n Insert one "LIEBIG S M8-12/55/40 expansion bolt" into the anchor point
( pos5/Fig. 75 Page 54), but do not tighten it yet.

n Check alignment of the longitudinal rail ( pos2/Fig. 77 Page 55) with the spirit level
( pos1/Fig. 77 Page 55).
n If needed, shim the rail and the table base with the shims provided in the shipment
( pos3/Fig. 75 Page 54).
n Insert shims ( pos6/Fig. 75 Page 54)below the longitudinal clamp
( pos4/Fig. 75 Page 54).
The rail must be shimmed at all locations to ensure that it does not twist.
T Check the alignment of the table with the spirit level. Tighten all five "LIEBIG S
M8-12/55/40 expansion bolts" on the table base and one "LIEBIG S M8-12/55/40 expan‐
sion bolt" on the longitudinal rail ( pos5/Fig. 75 Page 54) to a torque of 20 Nm.
n For the standard version, use the longitudinal rail that comes with the long bumper as
shown in ( pos1/Fig. 78 Page 57). This needs to be attached on the other end of the
longitudinal rail for the right-hand configuration after attaching the longitudinal rail
to the table base ( pos2/Fig. 81 Page 58).
n To remove the long bumper ( pos1/Fig. 78 Page 57), remove the screw with a 5 mm
Allen key ( pos2/Fig. 78 Page 57) and remove the long bumper
( pos1/Fig. 78 Page 57).

n Remove the short bumper in the same way ( pos1/Fig. 79 Page 57) on the longitudi‐
nal rail. It needs to be installed on the right side of the rail after inserting the column
in the longitudinal rail.
n The longitudinal plate ( pos1/Fig. 80 Page 58) needs to be removed before insert‐
ing the column. To remove it, remove the 2 screws ( pos2/Fig. 80 Page 58)

n Attach the long bumper to the longitudinal plate after attaching the longitudinal rail
( pos2/Fig. 81 Page 58).
n Remove the 4 screws and tap them out towards the bottom.
n Position the cross arm vertically by pulling the indexing pin on the bottom of the cross
arm and letting the cross arm engage in the vertical position.

n Remove the 2 screws and tap them out towards the bottom.
n Move the column stand down until the transport safety device projects out of the pal‐
let.
WARNING
Before lifting the column stand, ensure that the counterweight locking bolts are
in place. Also ensure that the counterweight is locked and the cross arm
( Pos3/Fig. 82 Page 59)cannot be moved down.
Ensure locking and movement
n Carefully insert the column base into the longitudinal rail attached to the table base .
n Reinstall the stop ( Pos1/Fig. 84 Page 60)on the longitudinal rail (2 Allen screws).
Use Loctite 221 on the two screws for the end stop

n Move the column stand all the way so that the column connector
( Pos1/Fig. 86 Page 61) is in position with the Bucky C-connector. Connect the col‐
umn to the table using ten Allen screws and apply Loctite 221 to the ten Allen screws.
This description refers to the left-side version.

Tighten the Allen screws to a torque of 25 N ( Pos2/Fig. 86 Page 61).
n Check the column in both vertical directions with a spirit level. Only if needed, loosen
the 10 screws ( Pos2/Fig. 86 Page 61) on the column connector, align the column,
and retighten the screws to the specified torque value.
n Also remove the transport bracket and the castors ( Pos2/Fig. 87 Page 62).

n Connect the table to the column interface cable at the X29 connector
( Pos5/Fig. 87 Page 62). Also connect the X14 and X10 connectors
( Pos6/Fig. 87 Page 62).
n Connect the X16 connector ( Pos7/Fig. 87 Page 62) or the horizontal brake.
n Connect the ground cable to the column connector cover ( Pos3/Fig. 87 Page 62)
n Secure the column power cable with the clamp provided ( Pos8/Fig. 87 Page 62),
and the X14 and X10 cable using a cable tie at the holes on the column connector
( Pos9/Fig. 87 Page 62).
n Stow the cables in the column connector and install the cover on the column connec‐
tor ( Pos4/Fig. 87 Page 62).
n Guide the cables out of the column connector ( Pos4/Fig. 87 Page 62) and
( Pos2/Fig. 87 Page 62).
n Ensure that all cables from column to the table bottom are correctly connected
( Fig. 88 Page 63).
All cables are protected by a C-type slot under the table base; be sure to protect all ca‐
bles in the C-type slot to avoid crushing or damaging the cables. WARNING: At this point,
do not remove the screws (marked red) through the bracket for securing the counter‐
weight.

These screws are to be removed only after installing the single tank, collima‐
tor, and control panel.
WARNING
When the column stand is lifted, be careful to avoid injuries
Pay attention to the free moving tube arm
n Remove the column connector ( Pos1/Fig. 89 Page 65) cover by removing the 4
screws ( Pos2/Fig. 89 Page 65).

n Move the column stand to connect with the C-connector using six Allen screws, apply
Loctite 221 to the six Allen screws ( Pos1/Fig. 90 Page 65).

n Check the column( Pos1/Fig. 91 Page 66) in the vertical direction with a spirit lev‐
el( Pos2/Fig. 91 Page 66). Align the column to 90°deg and tighten the screws to the
specified torque value.

n Connect the X16 connector to the horizontal brake ( Pos2/Fig. 94 Page 67).
n Secure the cable using a cable tie as shown in ( Pos3/Fig. 94 Page 67).

n Connect the ground cable ( Pos1/Fig. 95 Page 68) to the column connector cover
( Pos2/Fig. 95 Page 68) and install the cover on the column connector
( Pos3/Fig. 95 Page 68).
The column integration assembly needs to be confirmed during startup (checking cen‐
tering of the cassette tray) after powering on the unit (refer to the Startup Instructions).
Check whether there are severe scraping noises if the column is moved to the left or
right.
n The center of the cassette tray needs to be in line with the light localizer. Also check
for coupling and uncoupling of the column integration assembly after powering on
the unit.

n With right column configuration, see below for the length of the table cable:
- 1-2, cable length: 103 cm
- 2-3, cable length: 166 cm

n Remove the cross arm cover ( pos2/Fig. 98 Page 70) and remove the locking screw
( pos4/Fig. 98 Page 70) for ±120° locking.
n Rotate the cross arm flange ( pos3/Fig. 98 Page 70) 180° as shown in
( pos5/Fig. 98 Page 70). The profile of the tank unit flange ( pos6/Fig. 98 Page 70)
matches the cross arm flange ( pos5/Fig. 98 Page 70).
n Place the single tank on the tabletop as shown in ( pos1/Fig. 98 Page 70).
n Position the single-tank tube unit ( pos1/Fig. 98 Page 70) in front of the cross arm
flange ( pos3/Fig. 98 Page 70).
n Install the single-tank tube unit ( pos1/Fig. 98 Page 70) on the cross arm with four
M6 screws ( pos2/Fig. 99 Page 71) and tighten them to the specified torque value
(hardware is provided in the single-tank tube carton).

Tighten the four screws to a torque of 10 N.
Loctite 221 must be applied to the four screws.
n If the tube unit flange ( pos1/Fig. 99 Page 71) is not installed on the single-tank
tube unit ( pos1/Fig. 98 Page 70), then install it on the tube unit flange using four
M6 screws, four beveled washers and four plate washers ( pos3/Fig. 99 Page 71),
T and tighten it to a torque of 10 N (hardware provided along with the generator).
When doing this, make sure that the high beveled washers are installed at the bottom
and the flat shims are installed at the top of the tube unit flange. The round part of the
washers must point towards the flange.
If the beveled washers are correctly installed, the screws are horizontal. Otherwise, they
point obliquely up/down.
When positioning the single-tank tube unit, make sure that the adjustment yoke
( pos1/Fig. 100 Page 71) is between the washers ( pos2/Fig. 100 Page 71) of the ad‐
justment screw.
n Check the single-tank tube unit that it is centered in the longitudinal and transverse
directions after startup. For this refer to the chapter - Adjusting the Deviation of the
Central Beam in the startup instructions.
After installing the collimator and completing the electrical connections in the cross arm,
re-install the locking screw ( pos4/Fig. 98 Page 70) for ±120° locking, and put the cross
arm cover ( pos2/Fig. 99 Page 71) back in position.

n Connect the cables for tube heating, rotating anode, temperature sensor and inverter
per the designations.

ing screws are not covered.
n Place the cover with the ground wire back on the tube unit.
These two connectors ( pos1/Fig. 101 Page 72) are not mistake-proof connectors; it is
necessary to take note of the marker label to connect two.
n To connect the DAP cable to the tube, use the shield clip ( pos1/Fig. 102 Page 73)
n Connect the Gnd cable from the column on the tube before the placing the panel on
the tube. ( pos1/Fig. 102 Page 73)

sory clamp with a 2 mm Allen key ( pos2/Fig. 120 Page 83). Also remove the 4
screws on both sides with a 2.5 mm Allen key ( pos3/Fig. 120 Page 83) and slide
down the cover.
n Pass the collimator wire through the opening on the collimator top
( pos2/Fig. 118 Page 81) and ( pos4/Fig. 120 Page 83).
n Connect the wire to the particular location shown in ( B/Fig. 120 Page 83).
n Connect the red and blue wires to the 24 V connector on the collimator PCB
( pos5/Fig. 120 Page 83) and the ground wire to the location
( pos6/Fig. 120 Page 83) (the order in which the red and blue wires is connected
does not matter).
n Secure the 3 wires with a clamp using a 2 mm Allen key ( pos7/Fig. 120 Page 83).
The two 24 volt cables for the collimator can be connected in any order because the
power supply is alternating voltage.
Do not touch the four black plastic plates ( Pos1/Fig. 123 Page 85)when installing the
collimator on the tube unit.

- Install the bottom, short front panel into the two studs provided on the bottom of
the column.
n Install the long front cover panel ( pos1/Fig. 135 Page 95):
- Move the single tank tube unit downwards with the TBS carriage passing through
the short front panel
- Check that the brake cables do not interfere or brush against the short front panel
when moving the single tank tube downwards.
n Secure the long and short panels with 4 screws ( pos1/Fig. 136 Page 96).
n Attach the long panel on the top plate with a screw ( pos2/Fig. 136 Page 96)
Check that there is no scraping of the long front cover panel and the short front cover
panel with the TBS carriage when moving the single tank tube unit up and down. If nec‐
essary adjust the front covers so that there is no interference.
It is very important to check that the cable on the TBS carriage does not interfere with
the front cover panel. If necessary, adjust the front cover panel by loosening the bolts
( pos2/Fig. 136 Page 96). Tighten it after adjustment so that there is no interference.
n Install the rear cover panel ( pos1/Fig. 137 Page 96) on the table using the paneling
screws ( pos2/Fig. 137 Page 96).
n Install the SID marker ( pos3/Fig. 137 Page 96) on the column connector with the
bolts ( pos4/Fig. 137 Page 96) provided (the SID marker is included in the shipment).
