CHAPTER IV

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

This chapter presents analyzes and interprets the findings of the data gathered in

this study which determined the knowledge and perceived competence on palliative care

among nurses in Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital. Presentation and discussion

of the results follow particularly on the relational analysis of the variables.

Age distribution

n=34)) of the respondents belong to the age group 19 years. Followed by 30.7%

(n=30) which made up of 20 years, 12.7% (n=12) who were 18 years, 10% (n=10) who

were 21 years old, 5% (n=5) who were 22 years old, 3% (n=3) who were 23 years old,

1.7% (n=1) who were 24 years old, 1.7% (n=1) who were 25 years old, 1% (n=1) who

were 26 years old and 0.3% (n=.3) who were 17 years old.

thoughts and feelings about VCT uptake. Majority (82.3%; n=82) of them has a positive

response towards VCT and (17.7%; n=18) of them has a negative response towards VCT.

This is shown in table 4.2 below.
