SOCIAL ASPECT

In putting up a business, different internal and external sectors are affected by the

execution of the proposed business. Social aspect addresses the impact and benefits

that a proposed project may have on the social system in the project environment. This

chapter considers the sectors that are directly affected by the proposed project.

5.1 GOVERNMENT

Revenue from businesses is one of the sources of government’s income. In line

with this, Brazo de Sorbetes will help the government in accumulating funds by paying

taxes as stated by the existing laws, permits, licenses, and other required expenditures

that will support the government’s projects for the development and progression of the

city and the country. Moreover, the business will contribute to the growth of the economy

as it increases the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) since the business will add up to the

number of operating businesses in the country that produces final goods and services.

5.2 GROWTH OF RELATED INDUSTRIES

The establishment of Brazo de Sorbetes tends to increase the demand for raw

materials needed to produce the product. The business will mostly affect the suppliers

and manufacturers of eggs, sugar, milk, all-purpose cream, extracts, candies and other

childhood confectionaries, and ice cream that are the main ingredients of the product. As
a result, the increased demand for their products will help suppliers and manufacturers to

increase their production which will result to the growth of their businesses.

5.3 CONSUMERS

Brazo de Sorbetes provides its consumers a unique fusion of ice cream and brazo

de Mercedes which most consumers both love. The product will bring back consumer’s

childhood memories, mostly those who were born in the 90’s, with the flavors that the

product offers. Brazo the Sorbetes will be the first to offer two of the commonly known

desserts fused in one serving at a reasonable price.

5.4 EMPLOYMENT

Brazo de Sorbetes will be hiring its employees within the vicinity of Valenzuela City

which is also the place of the store building and its target market. The job openings will

help the employees and their families by providing appropriate salaries and favorable

benefits to progress their standard of living. The owners and employees will work hand in

hand, through proper mentoring and communication, to achieve the goals of the business.
