COMPARATIVOS

** COMPARATIVOS DE SUPERIORIDAD

Se utiliza la terminación -er cuando son palabras de una sola sílaba o

cuando son palabras de dos sílabas que terminan en –y.

Ejs: - I´m taller than you

- He is shorter than Tom
- This car is cheaper than that

Con las palabras de más de dos sílabas se usa more.

Con los adverbios terminados en –ly, tb. Se usa more.

Ejs: - She´s more intelligent than I

- They are more intelligent than the others
- This car is more expensive than that.

** COMPARATIVOS DE IGUALDAD

El comparativo de igualdad tiene la construcción: as.......as

Ejs: - I am as tall as you

** COMPARATIVOS DE INFERIORIDAD

El comparativo de inferioridad tiene la construcción: less....than

Ejs: - I am less tall than you

SUPERLATIVOS
Con las palabras de una sola sílaba se usa: the + -est

Ejs: - I´m the tallest in the class

- She´s the shortest in my family.
- They are the cheapest of all
 Con las palabras de más de una sílaba se usa: the + most

Ejs: - I´m the most intelligent in the class.

- She is the most beautiful in the town.
- They are the most expensive of all

* En los SUPERLATIVOS DE INFERIORIDAD de más de una sílaba se usa:

the + least

Ej: - She is the least favority in this asunt ( Ella es la menos favorecida en este
asunto)
