 Abstract

Our study focuses on the learning styles of Senior High School students. The
purpose of this research was to know what is the most effective learning style used by
the student of University Of Perpetual Help – Molino Campus. In this study we use
quantitative research The research design used in this study was Descriptive Research
Design. The study was conducted in our School at University of Perpetual Help Molino
Campus since the researchers are studying in that university. The respondents of the
study are the grade 12 Senior High School students. The selection of respondents for
the study was purposive The numbers of respondent selected for this study are 50; 20
students came from STEM strand, another 20 students came from ABM strand and the
other 10 students came from GAS strand. Our data collection was in survey form, the
type of question is the multiple response survey questionnaires and matrix survey
questionnaire. This instrument is specifically for the students to know what learning style
helped them to perform academically well and for the teacher to assess them what
teaching learning style suits for the students. The study used the descriptive statistics
as a way of assessing and analyzing the data gathered, and to be presented in graphs
and charts that develops simpler explanation about the study. The study has concluded
that taking down notes help them to gain high grades that can affect their academic
performances and the least helpful learning style was listening to music. This study also
concludes that, most of the students in University of Perpetual Help- Molino Campus
are Active Learners.
