Since my country (Ethiopia) is classified in developing, nowadays many companies, industries,

factories are running as well as installed. So they are worked on manual system and without following
the latest advanced control automation and robotics system. This makes my country stay in poverty.
Also there is limited educated manpower in control engineering. So if I get this opportunity in MSc
Electrical Engineering in your institute I will get back to my home and contribute the knowledge I
grasp from your institute.

The knowledge i have been obtained from my education and being an assistant lecturer my active
participation in extracurricular activities has provides me excellent practical aspect of Electrical
Engineering. in my MSc program I need to study Electrical Engineering especially in Industrial Control
Engineering area such as robotics, instrumentation etc

With this letter I hereby would like to express my motivation for a Master's Degree Programme
in Electric and computer Engineering starting in Acadamic year 2016/2017 offered by KNB Scholarship
for Developing Countries Students in Indonesia,2016.I am an assistant lecturer at Debremarkos
university in Electrical and Computer Engineering Departement and I have studied my undergraduate
programs in (Industrial Control Engineering ) from Addis Ababa Institute of Technology. The knowledge I
have obtained from my education and being an Assistant Lecturer, my active participation in extra-
curricular activities has provided me with an excellent background in

the practical aspects of Electrical Engineering.My undergraduate program courses like Power
Electronics and Electric Drives, Electrical Machines, Modern Control,Instrumentation Engineering,
Digital control system, Microcomputer and Interfacing ,Introduction to Robotics and Industrial
Automation, Embedded System the literature I browsed on internet laid an impression and influenced
me to advance my knowledge on Industrial Control Engineering.espescilly I have advanced knowledge
and I am interested on Microcomputer and Interfacing because I have a good knowledge in c
programming and proteus simulation software.My country is today going to be one of developing
country in Africa so it must to be use technology. Without technology no development. Nowadays my
country open many university related to engineering because many projects led by engineers such as
railway construction, complex road construction, huge hydro power generation construction. so in order
to work effectively and efficiently with my profession I need to master my field of study, also I think
there are so many resource not working today in my country that need knowledge, profession in order
to run so you give this opportunity for the success of my idea for the further.

Most of the Ethiopian companies worked on manual system and with out following the latest advanced
control and automation technologies in the world.This makes my country to stay in the floor of poverty,
because the factories produce non standard quality goods which can not fulfill export standard and also
they have a limited capacity of producing goods in a large quantity. Recently, my home country
(Ethiopia) gives due attention for production of huge, clean and safe electricity from renewable energy
sources for the sake of transforming from agriculture led industry to,industry led agriculture
economy.But in the industry area there is a limited educated man power in control engineering who
can operate and control system for the countries proposed big and sophisticated companies.Therefore,
if I get the scholarship opportunity in Msc. Of Electrical Engineering (Control Engineering) in your
institute I will get back to my home country Ethiopia and contribute the knowledge I grasped to many
manual operated manufacturing companies throughout the country by automating and applying
control strategies. As a result, I would like to get to know more knowledge to master Electrical
Engineering on control stream and their implications to the world, and invent something new which
will benefit the society of my country.And Assist future researchers, innovations that increase
