I am interested in applying to the New Graduate Nurse Residency at Florida Hospital Tampa,
beginning in July 2018. I have had the opportunity to complete clinical rotations at Florida
Hospital Tampa since the Summer of 2016, and have had amazing opportunities to learn from
each team member as they extend and show the healing hand of Christ. I hope that as I
transition to professional practice, I will have the privilege to join this mission.

In addition to completing my clinical rotations at Florida Hospital Tampa, I had the

opportunity to complete my senior preceptorship in the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU). In the CCU,
I strengthened my skills regarding patient assessment and interdisciplinary communication. I
provided all patient care within my scope of practice and completed accurate, detailed
documentation. These foundational skills of nursing practice are those that I hope to build
upon further in the New Graduate Nurse Residency.
