The location of the wind farm complex (power transformer station TS 33/220kV and substation 220
kV) is located on parcel no. 4949, 4950, Cadastre Municipality Debeljača. The total estimated area of
the complex is 2.14 ha.

The complex of the power transformer station is connected to the local road in three locations, two
connections belong to cadastre parcel 4949 (width of connecting streets is 6.00 m each) while one of
them is located at parcel 4950 (width of the connecting street is also 6.00 m).

The complex also contains two parking areas with 6 parking spaces (parcel 4949) and 4 parking
spaces (parcel 4950).

2 CATEGORIZATION OF EARTHWORKS

All earthworks which will be performed during the construction of the Kovačica Wind Farm can be
categorized in the following manner:

 Removal of humus and poor quality material

 Excavation of soil:
o machine
o manual
 Stabilization of road bed bottom
 Backfilling:
o soil
o sand
o gravel
 Humus laying
 Transport of earthen material and loose material
o internal
o external

3 REMOVAL OF HUMUS AND POOR QUALITY MATERIAL

The work includes surface excavation of humus material in bulk excavation, according to project
details, with transport or pushing of materials using machines into a landfill on the side, in space
which is owned by the investor, for later construction. The average width of the layer which shall be
removed is 30cm. All works must be performed in accordance with the project, i.e. SRPS.U.Е1.010.

The surface excavation should be performed everywhere where it is necessary in order to prepare
the road bed – foundation soil and subgrade. All excavated material is to be deposited outside of the
surface of construction works, so that it can later be used and accessed without disturbance.

The removal of humus is performed with a treaded bulldozer (of the type) “TG 140 F/P 304 A”, with
blade capacity of 2.3-3.6 m3, and the ability to push soil up to 20m. From there, the humus will be
loaded onto trucks with a “JSV” Excavator, blade capacity 1.8 m3, and then transported to the local
landfill within the investor’s parcel to be disposed.

Below is a table displaying the position where humus removal will be performed, along with the
quantity.

4 EXCAVATION OF SOIL

The works include bulk excavation of all types of earthen materials defined by the project, as well as
transportation, i.e. pushing of excavated material into embankments, landfills, or to general use
landfills, according to the purpose for which the material will be used during the performance of
works.

All excavation should be performed according to profile, described levels, inclination according to the
project, having in mind all necessary characteristics of the specific uses of excavated material, in
accordance with these technical specification and SRSPS.U.Е1.010.

During the performance of excavation, protection measures for full occupational safety shall be
implemented, as well as all necessary security for existing buildings and communications.
The excavation performance schedule shall be organized so that no “gaps” will form, in which water
would accumulate in the event of rain.

Machine excavation of soil of II and III category is performed with the combined machine – Excavator
“JSV” with blade capacity of 1.8 м3. Soil is deposited to the side, or is transported by trucks to a
temporary earthen material landfill within the investor’s parcel, a location where it will not obstruct
construction, or is transported to the location ordered by Supervision.

The maximum depth of the excavation is 2.9 m, and the level of groundwater is at more than 7.0m
below ground level.

The excavation banks are secured through the construction of bank slopes and, as required,
additional support, horizontal and vertical, and beams of wood and metal.

5 STABILIZATION OF ROAD BED BOTTOM

Before the start of the works, it is necessary to examine the road bed bottom, determine the
composition and density of it, and select one of the following road bet bottom processing methods:

- If the material fulfils set requirements, the road bed is processed mechanically.

The road bed material will first be excavated with a “New Holland” type grader, and after planning it
shall be compacted with a smooth roller of the type "HAM HD 90" or grid roller of the type "BOMAG"
.

-If the required consolidation of the road bed cannot be achieved due to great compressibility of
autochthon soil, the geo-mechanical improvement of the road bed up to the depth of 30cm will be
carried out by adding sand or gravel material, until compaction with grid rollers and vibro rollers
results in a load bearing capacity of Мс=15 MN/м2 (plate Ø30cm), expressed using the
compressibility modulus

The table below displays positions in which stabilization of the road bed bottom will be performed.

6 BACKFILLING

These works include backfilling, spreading, coarse or fine planning, wetting and compressing material
using adequate mechanical means, - Bulldozer for spreading, grader for paving, grid for compression,
everything in accordance with the dimensions and levels from the project
The construction works for the earthen material embankment includes backfilling of soil from the
deposit, spreading, wetting or drying as necessary, smoothing , compressing according to regulation,
and inspection.

The construction of the backfill is performed in accordance with profiles, levels and inclinations of the
project. The embankment will be constructed in layers with width up to 30cm, with a slope for
drainage. The compression of the embankment will be performed with vibrating equipment or static
rollers, until achieving the required density levels.

For backfilling purposes, soil from the deposit will be used, as per the geo-mechanical report, or the
survey results submitted by an accredited laboratory.

Density control for the processed layers will be performed with a test circular plate with radius d=30
cm, for which the minimum values are:

- for embankments with height over 2m, for layers under 2m below the plane of the lower layer:

 for coherent soil, a compressibility modulus of МС= 35 МPа is required

 survey at 1000m2
