Hunter of The Old Blood
"What's that smell? The sweet blood;oh it sings to me. It's
enough to make a man sick”
Ahunteris born by the blood, made alive by the blood,
Through the blood he is made whole, it sustains him and
becomes him. The blood makes him human, makes him
more than human, makes him human no more.
The Hunters are a group of warriors who are dedicated
to keeping their regions safe by hunting down beasts - or
anything other than beasts ifneed be - that pose a threat.
Hunters are agile fighters armed with a trick weapon, a
transforming melee weapon in the righthand, a firearm
in the left and the blood within them.
They do not employ shields, but rather take advantage
of their mobility in order to avoid attacks.
Hunters exist throughout the world and are not exclu-
sive to any one region. They answer only to themselves
and the Healing Church, an organization that appears
only in the dreams of ones it deems worthy to join the
hunt.
The Hunter's Dream
The Dreamlands are not an illusion, they are areal place.
All hunters vist the hunter's dream at some point in
their lives, itis how the Healing Church communes with
its hunters. Most are eventually driven mad by the dreams
existence however, unable to determine which of the two
realities is the real one.
The dream itself is not much to behold, but it feels every
bit as real as waking world
Upon an endless field of flowers sits a small church
watched over by a man with no name, The man only
seems only to have one singular purpose, to assist the
Hunter in the hunt. He offers guidance when the Hunter is
lost, and equipment when the hunter requests it. He also
promises glory when the hunter wakes from what he calls _
the real dream.
It is unknown as to how the old man is in possession of
random knowledge, or how he is able to deliver on such
wondrous devices such as the Trick Weapons, all that is
known is that he does. F
