Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 plus year's related experience or Master's degree and a minimum of 4-6 years experience.

Experience and knowledge

Four or more years of applied software development experience including C and/or C++ in a Unix or linux environment.
Working with cross-functional teams as well as practical experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Must possess working development knowledge in multiple operating systems.
Practical experience with multiple programming languages and technologies such as C, C++, Perl, Shells Script/Korn Shell, Assembler, etc. is critical.
Must have demonstrable aptitude to solving complex problems and solid coding skills.
Demonstrate experience in coding OS problems and concepts either thru School projects or in the industry.
Desired: Knowledge of UNIX internals, knowledge of computer architectures - processors, memory and I/O.
