Ensure Orientation of job is as

per hydro test drawing.
Keep adequate space for

movement of person.
Cordoning area by sand bags,
5
danger tape or metal Shield.
Check all seams for wire
6
brushing.
Ensure the necessary
7
arrangement for venting.
Venting point should be at
highest level so that job should
8
be kept in taper position for
removing the air lock.
Check the quality and
specification of fasteners
9
provided on all joints as per the
drawing.
Ensure the test blank for
10 tightening as per the torque
values given by PMG.
Ensure two pressure gauges
11 used during hydro test. Issued
by QA. (on two diff. locations)
All piping connections should
12 be fitted with proper clamps.
(Hose pipe/fittings/valves)
Hydro pump must be in a good
condition. (Hose pipe must be
with stand with the high
pressure, safety valve setting as
13
per required pressure, pressure
gauges in working condition,
electrical connection in good
condition. etc)
Ensure proper working of ELCB
connected to the motor. Ensure
14
all electrical appliances are
supplied power through ELCB.
Check the PPM level of water
15
before filling the vessel / job.
Ensure the vent valve is kept
16
open during water filling.
Proper Drainage for water to be
17
provided.
Don’t position any equipment
or stand in front of bolted joint.
18
If it is coming provide metal
partition.
Avoid unnecessary crowding &
Only authorized persons are
19
allowed to work near the job.

Raise pressure gradually stage


20
wise as per procedure.
21 After achieving desire hydro
pressure pl. check any leakages
from the joints.
Mark the leakage location &
22 reduce the pressure if leakages
are observed.
Do not loose/ tighten any nut
23
bolt when job is in pressure.
Do not hold the pressure more
24 than stipulated time. Follow
procedure.
Take clearance from inspector
25
before releasing the pressure.
During depressurizing first open
the vent valve to release the
26
pressure & bringing the
pressure to zero.
Draining to be done from the
27
bottom most nozzles.
Do not close the vent valve

during the draining of water.
During night time, proper
30
illumination to be provided.
Provide good scaffolding while
working at height & Put
31
appropriate safety sign at that
area.
All workmen must wear proper
personal protective
32
equipments.
