 PTO Meeting
On Thursday, September 16th we
will be holding the first PTO
meeting of the school year.
The PTO will be hosting a meet
and greet at 6:30 pm for families
to get answers in an informal
setting.
For those who are interested in
signing your child up for extra-
curricular activities, this is the
day to mark on your calendars.
Remember that classes fill up
quickly!

Apple Tree PTO Dance-a-thon
Fund Raiser 2010
On September 13th students will
bring home an envelope to collect
donations for our annual fund raiser.
This year the proceeds will be used
toward the Spanish program and
cultural enrichment
activities at Apple Tree.
On Friday, September 24th all
envelopes should be turned in and the
students will take part in a
dance-a-thon during their Spanish
classes.

Working Together for the Children
New Extra Curricular Clubs
Music, Movement & Skits ,Yearbook and
Pre-k Yoga
This year will still continue offering the same great clubs
such as Art, Chess, Debate, Drama, Journal-
ism, Science, Spanish, Swimming and Yoga.
Don’t forget to sign up at the first PTO
meeting on September 16th.
Spanish Fiesta Family Dance
On Saturday, September 25th Apple Tree
will be hosting a Family Dance from
6:00—8:30 pm. The cost for the dance is
$4.00.
We will have a D.J., light refreshments, and
professional Spanish dancers to
demonstrate and give dance instruction
from 7:00-7:30.
Ticket order forms will be sent home on
September 15th. Please complete the order
form and return to the office with the
payment by September 22nd.
Vamos a celebrar!

Halloween Festival
Saturday October 30th the PTO will sponsor a
spook-tac-ular Halloween Festival at Apple Tree. Join
us between 2:30—5:00
for fun, games, trunk or treating,
and light refreshments.
Tickets will be $5.00 per person. Order forms will be
sent home on October 18th
and need to be returned with
payment no later than October 27th, to purchase tick-
ets.
Everyone is invited to wear costumes. Please no
blood,, gore or scary costumes; this is a family event.

 Preschool Parents,

Do not forget to fill out the Contact In-
formation Forms given by your child’s
teacher. It is valuable personal informa-
tion about your child so that teachers can
get to know your child better.
Also, remember that if you are planning
on celebrating your child’s birthday at the
school, we encourage you to bring the
following: mini cupcakes with no icing,
muffins, or cookies, and juice. Please NO
goodie bags, hats or any decorations.
Preschool Show’n Tell
This year we will be having Show and Tell every
Monday .Your child may bring a book or object
related to the month’s science topic . Also, we
would like to encourage children to tell about
the item they bring in. Parents may send in a
short writing on the topic chosen for Show’n
Tell.

DANCE, SWIMMING AND SPORTS

DANCE classes incorporate the fundamentals of creative movement, hip-hop/jazz and ballet technique. Dance instructor Meredith Dreyfuss
is an experienced teacher and performer; classes will be held on Monday at the times listed below. Cost $60/month/4 lessons

SWIMMING with Ms Bernandety will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays; registration forms are in the office. Time varies.
Swimming is based on eight lessons, twice a week for $96.

**PILATES/YOGA for Preschoolers with Ms.Olga will be every Wednesday 3:00—3:50 Cost $52/ 4 classes

YOGA with Ms. Nuzzi * THURSDAY Kindergarten — 8th grade from 3:30 —4:20 pm

PIANO will be offered Monday through Thursday by Ms. Barbara Magaldo for students in Kindergarten and up.
The fee is $100/month/4—Half hour lessons. Please write checks to Barbara Magaldo or to cash (you may leave
payments in the front office). There will be an additional fee for books.
