Second Sunday of Easter

Disagreements are normal in family life. That is why forgiveness also needs to be
routine in our families. The problem is that many families are good at disagreeing but
not skilled at reconciling. Like the disciples, we hide behind locked doors out of fear
that we may lose face or be seen as wrong or weak. As long as we allow our fear to
rule our actions, we will never experience the peace that Jesus promises in today’s
gospel.
383 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. We have three
vacant hours that need to be filled! Wednesday 11pm-midnight, call Fred Maurer at 330-
697-2316, Sunday 1-2am and 2-3am, call Gene Ryan at 330-690-9661. You’re missing out
on all the Graces…..Our Lord said in scripture that “He would not be outdone in
Kindness.” What do you believe the greatest Kindness is for Him? One Hour with Him out of 168
He gives us each week. Call…..and get started. Remember, this program has a system, in place,
that will cover your hour any week you’re not able to keep.

This weekend is your last chance to donate to our Almsgiving Project “Barberton Area
Community Ministries (BACM).” Envelopes have been provided in the pews. As of this writing,
(April 3) we have surpassed our goal of $7,500 by $2,329, the people of St. Augustine are very
generous when it comes to helping those less fortunate. Many Blessings to each and every
one of you!

PARISH MEMBERSHIP & ACTIVE PARISHIONER STATUS – New parishioners are asked to
call the Parish Office at 330-745-0011 to register. If you are moving out of the parish, changing
your address or phone number, please notify us asap. Young adults 21 and over should
register as well. Frequently, we are asked to be godparents for Baptisms and sponsors for
Confirmation. Part of that request is to be able to verify that a person is an “active member”.
Being active includes, being registered, faithfully attends Mass, participates in parish activities
when possible and uses the parish envelope system for donations. While an inquirer’s status is
made individually, the above are main factors in making a decision.
