Tarea 2 – Uso del Software TANKS

Problema

I. Reportar las emisiones evaporativas, en toneladas/año, para un año completo


desde los siguientes estanques de almacenamiento ubicados hipotéticamente
en la zona industrial de Quintero, usando el software TANKS. Como información
meteorológica utilice la reportada para el año 2017 en la Estación
Meteorológica Principal de la comuna de Puchuncaví disponible en el portal
web sinca.mma.gob.cl

- Para la resolución del problema se buscó la información meteorológica perteneciente


al año 2017 en la Estación Meteorológica Principal de la comuna de Puchuncaví, en
dónde se obtuvo la información correspondiente a cada mes y además se obtuvieron
los promedios anuales de la data solicitada por el Software TANKS para la generación
de los reportes.

Dentro de esta data se obtuvo:


 Temperatura Media Diaria Mensual y Anual
 Temperatura Mínima Promedio Mensual y Anual
 Temperatura Máxima Promedio Mensual y Anual
 Velocidad Promedio Viento Mensual y Anual
 Radiación Global Promedio Mensual y Anual
 Presión Atmosférica Promedio Anual

Cabe señalar que la data Mensual fue extraída de los gráficos entregados por el SINCA,
utilizando la herramienta WebPlotDigitizer ©. Para mayor información se recomienda
ver la memoria de cálculo.

- Para la obtención del reporte correspondiente al estanque número 2 y 5, se utilizaron


compuestos orgánicos de características similares al especificado en el problema,
debido a que estos no se pudieron encontrar en el Software TANKS. Para esto se basó
principalmente en la similitud en los pesos moleculares y en la bibliografía
encontrada para simplificar el problema (Hartwig, 2010).

Conclusiones

A partir de los reportes obtenidos para los distintos tipos de estanques, se aprecia que los
estanques de tipo vertical de techo fijo, generan menores emisiones anuales en relación a los
estanques de techo flotante externo. Luego, de la comparación entre el tipo de techo (Domo
y Cono), no se tienen diferencias significativas, considerado las distintas características y
tamaños de los estanques.
