Problem 1

The stroke of a gas engine which works on the constant volume cycle is 450 mm. The
pressure at the beginning of the compression is 1.01 bar and at the end of compression
it is 11.1 bar. Assuming compression follows the law , calculate the clearance
between the piston and cylinder cover at the end of compression in mm of length.
