The Lesson
1. Introduction (include time allotment)
Getting attention
Students will enter the gym and go to their spots. After everyone is in their spot we will do
their warm up. High knees, low knees, straight down, right over left, left over right, ab
stretch, pushups, and three laps around, tiger jacks. Then students will line up at the black
line.
Relating to past experience and/or knowledge
Today students will be playing pirates. The pirates will collect the bean bags.

Sharing objective, in general terms
Today’s class we will be playing pirates. The students are the pirates and the bean bags are
the treasure. The students are to collect the treasure and bring them back to their ship.
Content Delivery (include time allotment & instructional methodologies)

After students are done with their warm up they will line up at the black line and
we will go over today’s activity. Today we are playing pirates. You team will line up behind you
hula hoop. The first person in line will run and grab a bean bag from the treasure chest. The next
person in line will then have the choice to grab from the treasure chest or steal a bean bag (piece
of treasure) form another team. Only one team member can be away from the ship at a time. The
fist team to collect 10 bean bags wins. (8 min)

Students will play the game. If there are any areas where I see we need to make changes I will
stop the class and tell them the changes. (20 min)

Students will put the bean bags away and go change. (8min)
