MINI is pleased to announce that the retrofit kit for Bluetooth/USB (option 6ND) is available for the MINI
Clubman (R55), the MINI Hardtop (R56 - built after 03/2007) and the MINI Convertible (R57).

Product description
The retrofit kit enables customers to connect all manner of mobile devices to their MINI. They can make
mobile phone thanks to the high-quality Bluetooth hands-free kit and enjoy music from an Apple
iPod/iPhone™™, MP3player, USB stick or USB-enabled mobile phone via the car’’s music system.

Basic functions
The operation is possible via the multi-function steering wheel, the MINI joystick or the radio control. All
information is shown in the radio display or on-board monitor. The USB devices, including USB-enabled
telephones, can be charged via the USB interface.

Functions of the hands-free kit

x Voice output via the car’’s loudspeakers
x Control via voice commands (only with multifunction steering wheel)
x Telephone book display and selection, top 8 list and last numbers called
x Wireless connection of the mobile phone to the car via Bluetooth
x Usage of the telephone’’s own aerial
x Storage of the telephone in an storage tray or in a jacket pocket
x Up to four mobile phones can be connected

Functions of the USB/audio interface

x Playback of MP3, WMA and WAV files
x Access via playlists and search for music genre, artist, album or title
x Track repeat, shuffle, fast forward/rewind
x Connection via USB / audio socket
x USB devices with a total of 20,000 tracks can be managed

x Unlike products from third parties, the operation, display and sound output are integrated
perfectly into the car’’s existing on-board systems.
x The new vehicle limited warranty is retained. The Bluetooth Kit is a genuine MINI part covered by
the two-year / unlimited mile MINI Parts and Accessory Warranty if installed by an authorized
MINI dealer. In addition, it will be covered for the remainder of the MINI new vehicle limited
warranty, whichever is greater.
