CHAPTER 2: THE RULE OF SELECTION AND FORMATION

Under this rule, benedict believe that an organization are only as good as their
people, thus in order to maintain a stable organization or in his terms are the one so
called fraternity, it is necessary not to rush the selection of its members, or if not;
members shall be duly trained and their abilities, skills and commitment are
harnessed with utmost difficulty and persistence.

Benedictine fraternities was structured in a way that there are people who are tasked
and assigned with specific obligations, because every organization’s core is the pillar
and its stronghold. Thus, Benedict formed its organizational structure in such a way
that there is no hierarchy but only duty of fidelity and obedience. In order to do so,
he sees to it that these leaders and managers were treated equally regardless of their
position, nevertheless sees to it that they are qualified and credible persons.

Therefore, benedict designed and developed a selection process that will protect and
enhance the applicant and organization in the process that would promote fraternity
in all aspect but a formidable one.
