1. Introduction
An organization’s very survival depends upon how it trains its people initially
andthen continues to train them, duly advancing the levels of training as time goes by. It
is clear that employees need to be developed and the process of developing themnever
ends. Trainers are now playing an increasingly critical role in supportingindividuals,
teams and business management.
3. Objective of Study:-
The objectives of the study are as follows
1. To identify training needs of the staff in “D-MART NANDED”.
2. To study the existing training practices going on in “D-MART NANDED”.
3. To study the effectiveness of training efforts undertaken.
4. To identify quality awareness training and the area in which most of the
staffrequire training.
5. To identify behavioral training and the area in which most of the staff
requiretraining.
6. To identify general training and the area in which most of the staff
requiretraining.
7. To identify deficiencies in the current training practices.
8. To suggest better ways and techniques to avoid pitfalls or deficiencies if anyin the
existing training practices.
4. HYPOTHESES
A hypothesis is proposition made as a basis of reasoning without the assumption of its
truth. Since it is a supposition, it can only be the starting point of an investigation based
on known facts and a hypothesis has to be validated emphatically. Every hypothesis can
thus be proved or disproved.
5. Research Methodology
The research is derived from the Latin word “to know”. It is a systematic and a
replicable process which identifies and defines problems within the boundaries. It
employs well designed method to collect the data and analysis the result. It
disseminates the findings to contribute to generalize able knowledge. Research is a
scientific and systematic search for pertinent information on a specific topic. Infact,
research is an art of scientific investigation.
a) Primary Data.
Primary Data is the data, which is collected directly by direct, personal
interview,Indirect oral investigation, Information received through drafting a
questionnaire.
b) Secondary Data.
Secondary Data is the data, which is collected from the observations, various
booksand material, reports, etc. The data which is stored in the organization and provide
bythe HR people are also secondary data. Different information are taken out regarding
that subject as well other subject from various sources and stored. The last years data
stored can also be secondary data.
This data is kept for the internal use of the organization. The HR manual is for the
internal use of the organization they are secondary data which help people to gain
Information. In this report the data plays a very crucial role.
For this report the data was provided to me by HR department of the organization.
The Primary and Secondary data which is specified above was provided by:
a) Administration HR Department
b) Floor managers and Department managers
c) Sales staff
Due to discussion with these people a lot of data as well latest information was
knownby these people who was very beneficial and was primary data to me.
Thequestionnaires (the primary data) were the main key which helps to analyze data.
Thisis the Research Methodology used in the project. The primary and secondary
datamethod has been used in this project. Unless the data is collected no project can
becomplete. So both these data is very important in the project.
