As a practical nursing student with previous experience in acute care, rehabilitation and long-term
care settings, and a strong commitment to providing quality nursing care, I am eager to undertake

 Provided pre and post operative care to adult and geriatric clients who had undergone general,
urological, vascular, and orthopedic surgeries.
 Collaborated with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, physiotherapists,
occupational therapists and nurse practitioners to plan, implement and evaluate client’s care
plans.
 Cared for clients by completing head to toe assessments, providing pain management
interventions, medication administration, and providing health teaching including post-surgical

 Provided support and feedback for patients working towards their rehabilitation goals.
 Conducted patient teaching sessions with families on topics such as adjusting to life as an
amputee, and heart healthy diets.

 Supported residents in the long-term care home setting by assisting with activities of daily
living, administering medications, and assessing the progression of diseases processes
including dementia, diabetes, and cardiac disease.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Child Care Worker/Teaching Assistant

Educare Children’s Center, Mississauga, ON June 2017 – present
 Supervise and monitor the safety of up to 16 students per class, ages of 12 months to 12 years.
 Engage children in learning activities appropriate for their ages, personal developmental stages,
and interests.

National Health and Safety Coordinator

DB Schenker Mississauga, ON March 2015-Sept 2016
 Investigated and tracked any workplace incidences that occurred across Canada, collected
monthly key performance indicators of Health and Safety from all sites, scheduled training
sessions, assisted the Return to Work Coordinator in investigating claims, and completed
sites hazard analysis.
 Empowered over 15 Joint Health and Safety Committee’s by attending meetings across the
GTA and providing health and safety training for employees.

Administrative Assistant /Log Out Coordinator

Consumer Testing Laboratories Mississauga, ON Sept 2013 – March 2015
 Utilized attention to detail and quality control to format and revise up to 100 reports on
product quality testing per day.
 Was responsible for tracking all revisions, timing of log outs, customer complaints, and

 Registered new families for the Ronald McDonald Family Room for parents or relatives that had
infants in the neonatal intensive care unit or children on the pediatric unit.
