First of all { would like to give my HIGHEST recommendation for Emory. I've had the pleasure of working closely with Emory for two years now and she never ceases to amaze me, Emory is extremely articulate in communication, both written and oral, proactive and assertive yet humble and teachable, and a natural leader amongst her peers. She sets an impeccable example for how to be a successful student, member of a student body and community, and how to follow through with assignments or obligations with the attention to detail rarely seen at her age. Thave every confidence that if Emory is selected for your program you will be thrilled. Rarely does a teacher see the maturity and desire to take advantage of every learning/broadening opportunity available, coupled with her competence and the thorough nature with which she approaches her endeavors. | firmly believe from my 13 years as a high schoo! teacher and 20 year Navy veteran that Emory will be suecessful at whatever she sets her mind to. She is loyal, trustworthy, mature in the nuances of interpersonal relationships, kind, supportive of her peers and teachers and a major asset to whatever organization she decides to dedicate her time to. One look at her resume give you an impressive overview of Emory’s experience base at her young age. She’s been involved in many STEM programs, community service through a variety of venues such as the Teen Council - a program where students with a mature, appropriate and facilitative personality visit public schools in the community and guest lecture other students on relationships and health issues. She presents in a variety of contexts: Congressional Debate team member, while working with the Mayor of Salt Lake City her responsibilities included drafting ‘communication memos and directly answering questions from the public during open air discussions/or city events. During an internship with Arte Primero, she also had the opportunity to teach students about Mexican art, history and ethnic contributions to society all while learning basic communication skills in the Spanish Language!
