End of Year Skating Show

A Tribute to America
Hosted by the Figure Skating Club of Watertown

Watertown, New York ----- The Figure Skating Club of Watertown is hosting its Annual End of the Year
Skating Show. This year’s theme is “A Tribute to America” which is a salute to the military and first
responders. It will be held Saturday, April 14th at 2pm at the Watertown Municipal Arena at the Alex
Duffy Fairgrounds in Watertown, NY.

This has been a successful year for the Club’s skaters with several members medaling in the New York
State Empire State Winter Games in Lake Placid this past February. Placing in the Empire Games qualifies
a skater for the elite State Games of America which will be held in Lynchburg, VA next summer.

The Club also hosted its 7th Annual Snow Town Invitational competition in January with a record number
of participants. The competition had 17 synchronized skating teams with 195 skaters and 206 individual
competitors participating from across Upstate New York and Canada.
