BASE PAPER REPORT

1)The Design and Implementation of Web of Low Power

Wireless Temperature Monitoring and Alarm System.
Description:
According to these results, the magnetic sensor is able to sense magnetic
field and easily reset by temperature difference. We presented a novel
room-tem- perature resettable thermomagnetic-piezoelectric MEMS
magnetic sensor which is resettable by applying a temperature
difference in room temperature range. The experimental results show
that the sensor successfully senses the magnetic field at 15 °C (lower
than its Curie temperature) and is rest at 45°C (lower than its Curie
temperature). In the future, the sensor will be contin- uously improved
to measure DC earth magnetic field.

2) RF Humidity Sensor Implemented with PEI-Coated

Compact Microstrip Resonant Cell.

Description:

The single-port, short-circuit terminated CMRC sensor cell is coated

with 5 uL of 10 w.t.% PEI diluted in methanol, and is coupled to
the ultra-micro coaxial connector (UMCC) through a direction
transmission line. The PEI coating coming in contact with humid air
undergoes changes in both physical volume and dielectric constant,
thereby shifting the resonant frequency of the CMRC sensor. The return
loss (S11) measured near the resonant frequency of the sensor has seen
an average humidity sensitivity of -16.2 mdB / %RH, with great
linearity across the full range of relative humidity levels. All
measurements are done at atmospheric temperature and pressure (ATM).

3) An Embedded Wireless Temperature Sensor for Orthopedic

Implants.

Description:

A wireless and passive (battery free) temperature sensor that can be

embedded inside an orthopedic implant, such as an interference screw,
was developed. The sensor is based on an inductive–capacitive–resistive
resonant circuit that is inductively powered so the temperature at the
implant can be measured wirelessly. A potential application of this
sensor is to monitor internal wound temperature for the diagnosis of
local infection at the implant site. Infections pose a significant risk to
patients, who receive orthopedic implants, often lead to adverse
conditions including implant failure, tissue necrosis, and amputation.
Current approaches for diagnosing orthopedic implant-associated
infections, such as blood tests, radiographic imaging, and histological
study are slow, tedious, and nonspecific. In recent years, thermographic
imaging has been used to monitor local temperature at the external
surgical site as a means to detect infection, but its applications are
limited to surface or near-surface wounds. The described sensor will
serve as an useful research tool to investigate using temperature as an
indication of deep-tissue orthopedic implant infection. When fully
developed, this sensor may also improve orthopedic care by allowing
simple, early detection of infection at an implant site. This paper
describes the design and fabrication of the sensor, as well as
characterizes its performance. Experimental results indicate the
temperature response of the sensor is reproducible within the tested
range of 30–42 °C.

4) Alarm System For Greenhouse Temperature Management.

Description:

As the applications of greenhouse become more and more extensive,

traditional greenhouse management is far from meeting the
requirements. To improve the performance, this article proposes a kind
of greenhouse temperature alarm system. In the system, Single
Chip Microcomputer is monitoring temperature, and then the
temperature information is transmitted to server through wireless data
module. After server have analyzed the temperature data, the system
sends an alert message to the greenhouse manager through GSM
module if the temperature is abnormal, so this system could help a lot
for Greenhouse temperature management.
5)Body Temperature Monitor and Alarm System Used in
Hospital Based on 1-wire and Wireless Communication
Technology

Description:

Body temperature measurement has very important meaning in clinic

diagnosis and treatment. Due to traditional artificial measurement
style has mangy disadvantages such as long measurement time, and
low measurement precision, etc, which is hard to automatically and
accurately monitor patient body temperature in real time. Aiming to
this problem, paper introduces a kind of body temperature distributed
monitor system. Multi-temperature sensors DS18B20 were connected
to realize body temperature signal collection, SCM AT89C52 processes
measurement signal and drives field display and alarming equipment
work. By nRF905 wireless transceiver chip, system completes signal
wireless transmission from work slave station to work central station,
and connects upper PC through USB adapter PDIUSBD12, which
the distributed clinic patient body temperature concentration monitor
system is carried out.
