Working Title

The working production title of the production is Felony, I have come to this decision as reflect
the basic formatt and the originality of the the production I would like to create, it also
summarizes the word to reflect all the characters within my production, each being a Felon in
the way to trick Tyler into trusting and feeling a faith between all characters that results in his
death.

Format, feature film / TV drama

The most suitable medium for my adaption would be a mini-web series, with this I could use this
as medium to divide the story into individual sections therefore allowing change and adapt the
storyline to the audience, based of the original ITV adaption each episode or storyline would be
different depending on the episode’s character, each webisode would follow three characters
with three alternate storylines one being the actual event, on one individual character linking the
whole piece together, the medium would also divide the story instead of an instant development.

Exhibition information/ Ideas/ Running Time

In terms of Exhibition Information, the precise running time per episode would be around 60
minutes (1 Hour), this could cover a reasonable amount of in depth characterization between
accused (suspect) and Tyler (Murder Victim) this would in turn make the character on a whole
more believable as each character would reflect the personality how Tyler differs in each
environment. The platform for which I would intend to for my production to be based on is either
(Youtube or Amazon), firstly my reasoning for Youtube it’s the biggest social video streaming
platform in the World, covering vast range of age groups so it would help me
A short tagline
The tagline for this film is “It was just a mistake,”referring to line that either the murder or any
leading narrative is going to follow or is going to be scripted, this could reflect to any characters
relationship between the member of cast to the victim Tyler, so this could be broke down to
show that anybody could have done something that was something that turned the events that
transpired in the death of of Tyler.

Overall Premise/ Synopsis

Tyler, DEAD, suspicion, 100 different motives, 1 Killer. The story follows the life Tyler Bentley a
straight A-Level Student brutally found murdered on South Eastern beach, knife wounds to his
body, reveal this was no tragic incident, now all heads turn to who done it, but the question of
who done it will sever the community but, can each come together and find who done it before it
too late.
Introduction to key characters
James Bentley​, father to Tyler is a heavy drinker who has secretly being taking drugs out of the
knowledge of his family, which now leads to suspicion that his father has been the leader or
indeed the killer of his son.

Tyler Bentley​, is a straight A-Level student who has recently moved to the Lincolnshire Area,
after meeting up at college and establishing a relationship with Sinead O’Reilly, his torso is
found brutally battered, bruised and washed up on the beach.

Anna Bentley​, single parent of parent, after a finalized divorce settlement has lead to Tyler now
living with his mother, but after the mother dismisses the new lover of Tyler could this lead to a
gruesome end for her one and only child.

Sinead O’Reilly​, former ex-girlfriend of Kyle, now forming a relationship of the new young
student Tyler leading Tyler astray for his straight good grades can she truly be trusted and is
she just another person in the spider web of Tyler’s down fall?

David O’Reilly​, father of Sinead who attended the same School of Anna Bentley leading to old
feuds to reignite between the two former classmates, and leading them in a way that no one had
expected.

Sgt. Peter ‘Pete’ Scales​, close family friend to the Bentley family who has been appointed
recent Sargent of the Policing commission, but after one of his family members becomes
entangled in the world of Tyler's murder, can he truly be trusted.

Kyle Scales​, both Kyle and Tyler are close classmates but after Tyler hooks up with Kyle’s
ex-girlfriend, this leads to a threatening exchanged of text’s, Tweets and threatening messages
between the two friends which leads to an event that both friends never thought would ever
happen between them.

Dect. Andrea Dixon​, one time journalist fire from previous job at the Daily Herald, after publish
article on the ongoing within the British Parliament that have been covered over by
parliamentary taskforce. Now tasked to investigate the mysterious and cause of death of Tyler
Bentley.

Dect. Adam Huntley, ​has be closely working on an unsolved murder case leading many to
suspect he’s not up to the task of getting the job done and done properly can he and Andrea
and Adam find the murder before they strikes gain, in a matter of time.

Who, what, when, why and where.
In terms of possible interpretations from the existing product, they way I would divide the
production is as follows, each episode would begin in a police questioning, the client (Individual
accused) would be sitting within the room being questioned by either

Neither of which would be identified to the audience, the reason for this conconcept is to
connote human emotional impact, so the question would come for an individual playing the role
of either Dixon or Huntley but each would reflect an individual concept of the human psychology
that wires the mind of peers and human nature.

The setting would then focus on the every ongoing between the main protagonist and all other
protagonist as to how they link to the main narrative structure, the story narrative is to use the
breakdown to what consequently happened in the hours leading up to Tyler’s death. The setting
would be a modern day as this makes the outlook setting more feasible to work with and allows
for the narrative to remain stereotypical to the character’s presentation
Narrative structure/ narrative arc, e.g. linear / postmodern / beg /mid /end
In terms of narrative structure, each episode (adaption) would have a non-linear direction, each
episode would begin with either Dect. Huntley/Dixon question each suspect individually we
would follow their critical role of how the either do not contribute or contribute in the death of
Tyler, and the finale episode (pilot) would actually show who really killed Tyler and would critical
timeline, with Tyler perspective being the finale episode leading us to who actually killed him.

Special FX / CGI
In terms of effects I could use lights to and tight camera angles, a production materials to
intertwine the story, so like paper tear it apart and then reassemble the pieces to a formatt story,
so effects of low lighting, Mise-En-Scene, this would help to create a more feasible and realistic
effect to the whole production.

Information about soundtrack

In terms of soundtrack I am going, or intend to use is a mix of different styles of music
depending on the character's physical and mental presentation, for example if we are to
stereotype the music, or relatable content of sound we or the consumer would relate to Tyler the
main protagonist I would expect for a mix of new music such (Youtube Tracklist) i.e Tennyson -
Cry Bird (Official Music Video).

But then the music may differ depending on the scenario or event that the protagonist
encounters such as the demise or killing so a soundbed that it closer and filled with a mix of
high and different notes all contrasting to make tension build within the piece, a selection I have
found to fit this scene would be Sad Piano Music - Isolation (Original Composition), this could be
used in a panning shot, or close up with the actors sound cut out for the production highlight or
making the main focus the actors body language as this would give the audience a display and
coverage as to how or who they could guess is the perpetrator. So the music then help guide or
mix the piece to help either take or divert my audience depending on the style, volume and
hardness or softness that is going to be displayed through the music.  
 
Target Audience
In terms of target audience, for my production would between the ages 12A-15 as this would be
hopefully reflect some content that is outlined by the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification)
which would be relatable to the stories outline such as the intimate relations between Tyler and
Sinead.

After looking into the regulation set out by both OFCOM and BBFC Regulatory bodies I have
concluded that content within the production would be better suited to the outlined age as
explained within the first paragraph, I have come to conclusion after some content that could be
interpret by younger people (minors) could be interpreted as offense, or rude is not acceptable
to be shown, so the audience I have ruled down to is set to this age, violence swearing and the
stereotypical demnor of characters would not be appropriate to be shown in front of a younger
audience.
