Identifying Verbs: Underline each verb and circle the linking verbs.
1. Friends gave President Theodore Roosevelt a rabbit’s foot.
2. My grandmother will not walk underneath an open ladder, step on a crack in the
sidewalk, or place a hat on a bed.
3. Superstitions about black cats seem ridiculous, but many people believe them.
4. In many cultures around the world, superstitions are common.
