Which WAS THE FIRST COLOR MOVIE IN HISTORY OF HOLLYHOOD?

The first film to be made with color was made in 1908. It is called A Visit To The Seaside. It
was 8 minutes long. The first full length movie to use color was The World, The Flesh And
The Devil from 1914.

While by far not the earliest feature film produced in TECHNICOLOR, (the first of which was
released in 1917), The Wizard of Oz made conspicuous use of the now-perfected
technology; the film's Kansas bookend sequences are in sepia-toned black-and-white, while
the Oz scenes are in full three-strip Technicolor.

The ones I mentioned above were shot in Kinemacolor. Technicolour was invented by
Herbert T. Kalmus in 1917, and wasn't the first process to colour film by decades.

First Indian Colour Movie

Kisan Kanya (year 1937) was known as India's first colour film but did not start the colour era in Indian
Cinema. Kisan Kanya was shot in Cinecolor. Colour era in Indian Cinema (Hindi and Tamil) started in the
mid 1950s.

Aan, a Dilip Kumar- Nimmi starrer by Mehboob Khan, was the first Indian film, the prints of which
were in Technicolor, the most expensive colour format of that era, or ever. It was shot in 16 mm and
later blown up to 35 mm. It was a landmark success.
