 We’re done with the graduation mass let us now go directly to the graduation proper.
 May we request everyone to get inside the gym./The program will start in five
minutes., For orderliness, please refrain from taking pictures near the stage/ for the
school has its official photographer.
 Good afternoon everyone, /I’m Ms. Leziel Jayne Maraña, upper grade school teacher.
 I am very much delighted to be here in our 2017-2018 Commencement Exercises.
 Before we begin this ceremony,/ let me remind you to turn your cell phones to silent
mode /and be courteous to those around you/ by avoiding talking loud.
 During the presentation of graduates,/ we encourage you to express your pride by
applauding and cheering.
 Joining me today is Ms. Rizza Micaella Magtibay a faculty member in the middle
grade school level.

 Thank you Ms. Leziel, it’s an honor to be here to this dignified and special event, the
high point of the academic year.
 Because today, we celebrate the accomplishments and academic achievements of our
beloved students.
 Therefore, as mentioned, courtesy, attention, and decorum are important and
expected.
 So now, let us formally begin this remarkable gathering

This afternoon as Canossa Academy marks its 54th year of foundation,/we also come
together to celebrate with these young people who represent the future of this nation./ This
year may be full of ups and downs for them,/ but at the end they have stood up with courage
and have shown everyone that each day to live by/ is a day of another chance to make things
right. Indeed, /they are like GOLD- tried in a “crucible fire”/ in order to bring out the BEST
in each one of them.

What we say today is still inadequate expression of what we carry in our hearts, our
admiration for their achievements and our wish for their success. This day entails the
beginning of another milestone to the students’ journey towards a bright future ahead.

Welcome to the 53rd Commencement Exercises and the first graduation of Senior High
School under the K TO 12 Program of Canossa Academy with the theme “ GO FORTH
WITH DISCERNING MIND, LISTENING HEART AND HUMBLE SPIRIT”.

The flag and the national anthem are the fruits of blood and sacrifices of our
forefathers. These symbolize the flaming spirit of patriotism and unity among the people of

IV. WELCOME ADDRESS (LEZIEL)

All of us have waited for this day to come. To welcome us all, may we call on the
representative of the graduating class and this year’s honor student Mark Eroel P. Navarro.

In front of us are the candidates for graduation./ These are the students who have
satisfactorily settled their obligations ,responsibilities and requirements / as middle grade
school and senior high school students./May we call on Ms. Arlene A. Villanueva,/ our
Associate Principal for Academic Affairs to formally present the candidates for graduation
to Sr. Lina L. Amante,/FdCC,the IBEd Principal for the conferring of graduates.

VIII. DISTRIBUTION OF DIPLOMAS (Mica)

After long years, the graduates are now ready to reap the fruits of their hard work and
patience. Now is the time for them to receive their long awaited diplomas. Together with the
diploma, they will also be receiving certificates of merit and appreciation. These certificates
are given to students who gave their valuable contribution and active participation in the
specific club of which they belong

They will be called by their homeroom advisers.

The diplomas will be distributed by Sr.Lina L. Amante, to be assisted by the grade 12 and
grade 6 advisers. Parents are to accompany their children as they come on stage to receive
their diploma.

important share in the diploma you are now holding.

IX. SCHOOL SERVICE AWARDS FOR FACULTY AND STAFF (MICA)

An educational institution will never be complete/ without competent and committed faculty
/and staff who give immeasurable time,/ efforts/ and commitments to everybody./ And we
are very lucky this year /to witness the awarding of our Faculty and Staff .

May we call on Sr. Amelia Manlusoc,/FdCC to give the awards/ to be assisted by Sr.
Angelita J. Dimaculangan and Sr.Lina L. Amante.

Awardees will be called /according to the length of service rendered to our school.

1. The first awardee is one of our school’s maintenance who assists in maintaining our
school buildings and grounds in top conditions. This year’s 10 years of service
awardee, Mr. Zandro N. Astrologo

2. The next Awardee is our school’s guidance counselor, she assists students at all
levels and acts as advocate for students’ well-being and as a counselor, she’ll first
and foremost listen to students’ and parents’ concerns as well. Ladies and
gentlemen, Another 10 years of service awardee Ms. Marites S. Moya

3. The next awardee to be called has been serving the school for 20 years and She is
one of our seasoned primary teacher who patiently teaches students in primary level.
If you want your child to have a good foundation in reading and writing, She will
surely take care of it! Let us all welcome, 20 years of service awardee Ms. Lea M.
Motas

The next 3 awardees to be called are those who have faithfully served our beloved
institution for 25 years.

 The first awardee is our Associate Principal for Student Affairs and the School’s
Discipline Coordinator, she continuously assists in development and establishing of
the school goals and objectives in planning the school’s programs. She also assists
the school head in developing school discipline policy and monitors student’s
discipline. Let us all welcome, this year’s 25 years of service awardee, Ms.
Rosemarie Q. Atienza.
 The next awardee is the school’s Associate Principal for Academic Affairs and a
physics teacher in junior and senior high school, She helps to support teachers in
creating interwoven content understandings and content skills opportunities and
that she continuously monitors academic program to ensure the school’s fulfillment
of its mission. Ladies and gentlemen Another 25 years of service awardee, Ms.
Arlene A. Villanueva.
 And the third awardee is known for being one of the best Math teacher in junior
and senior high school and the center coordinator for Mathematics Trainer’s Guild
or MTG, If you love Math you already know the person to approach! Let us all
welcome , Ms. Marlene G. Ortiz
 And last school service awardee is someone who served Canossa Academy for 30
years and that She is said to be responsible in student’s registration and academic
records, helping the teachers to place students in the right classes without her,
students’ graduation will not be possible as well. If you are in need of academic

As Canossa Academy molds students/ to become SMART Canossian with the Heart
through various extra-curricular activities,/ the same thing is being done as they are sent to

5. BATANG LACASA AWARD. It is in recognition of his/her outstanding
Academic Performance as a student member of the Laguna Catholic Schools
Association.

 The next 2 awards to be given is one of the highest awards that the Canossa
Academy can give to this student.
6. AWARD OF EXCELLENCE IN PARISH INVOLVEMENT ST. JOHN
MARIE VIANNEY.This award is given to student who has exhibited Outstanding
Parish Involvement through his/her exemplary service in the parish where he/she
belongs. Moreover, he/she displayed active and generous participation in the
celebrations of the Eucharist and other Para liturgical celebrations in the school and
in the parish.
7. And the last award to be given is the second to the highest award that the School can
give to the student who has completed high school in Canossa, has been a leader
and/or an active member of a religious and/or civic organization in and outside the
school. He manifests knowledge and familiarity with the life of St. Josephine
Bakhita. He epitomizes simplicity both in words and action, is humble in his
dealings with everyone, and has a compassionate and a forgiving heart. Above all,
he silently endures difficulties and remains steadfast in his faith amidst the different

difficulties and challenges that come his way. He willingly and actively participates
and shares himself in loving and generous service to everyone, especially the poor
and the MOSt in need.

May we now call Sr. Rosario Aquino, FDCC. She is the sister-in-charge of CAAP or the
Canossa Alumni Association of the Philippines.
COMMISIONING-CANOSSA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
It is the goal of Canossa Academy, Calamba City to form fully integrated persons,
rich in faith and capable to share their Filipino culture and Christian values in life necessary
to sustain group of Christian communities of the Church for the renewal of Society together
with Mary, Mother of God as our model and guide.
So at the end of their secondary education, they are ready to commit themselves as
S.M.A.R.T Canossians with the Heart.

Canossian students./ Hence,/ the graduates will bare their hearts and souls to us /through

(MICA) Here ends the 53RD Commencement Exercises of Canossa Academy. You have
now received your education. You are equipped to take on the world. Your life is now your
destiny.

(LEZIEL) Now your life is yours to create. This institution has simply built a strong
foundation for the future you must independently design and build. And always remember
that your Alma Mater is always here to welcome you with her loving arms wide open.
