Performance Goal for 2017-18 (Fall Review) (Goal Setting Forms and Conference) - 9/19/2017 McKellar, Angela
Success for relationship building would be evident in my classroom atmosphere and interactions with students. Evidence would include students' ease of communication with
me and my presence at their school related events (such as games and performances).

Differentiated instruction and use of technology would be evident in lesson planning and teaching. It will be evident in student grades and engagement as well as student
products.

Describe the activities that you will do to work toward your goal and appropriate timelines. INCLUDE ADDITIONS / CHANGES BELOW.
For building relationships: I walk around my room and talk to my students often, through student writing and activities, go to their extracurricular
events, sending positive feedback about their performance home to parents via email.

For differentiation: This year, I'd like to work on a tic-tac-toe board where each square is a different assignment and students need to complete 3 in a
row. Each square will deal with similar content or text, but be directed toward different learning styles/preferences. I also want to include strategies
from SIOP training when developing this tool.

new.

Angela,

Your goal statements are a good start. For domain 3 dealing with differentiation, you will need to specify your goal to a greater degree. Consider using a SMART goal
template. Is your goal Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic, and Time-bound? In other words, what specifically do you want to do with differentiation this year,
how are you going to do it, and what will you learn from the effort to meet the goal? Please edit your goal statement so that it conforms to a greater degree to a
template such as this. We can discuss too this week if we need to. Let me know when you're finished editing it and I will take another look. Thanks!
